Thinning hair with PBC? Urso side effects?
I’m going to start
Urso
in November and I’m hoping my body responds to it. What are the side effects people have noticed? What can I expect? Will I get relief from fatigue or itching? Also, since I’ve been weaning off of the Prednisone, my hair is thinning out!! Ugh!

Enlarged lymph nodes
I'm an
Urso
responder and generally doing okay. I now have an inflamed gall bladder which has got to be removed but my scan showed enlarged lymph nodes near my pancreas so the surgeon wants an Mri scan done. Has any else experienced enlarged lymph nodes?

Urso
So I remember some few posted a while back that when first on
Urso
, you itched. But did anyone actually have hives too? The reason I ask is some, or one in particular said she just worked her way through it. I guess I'm going to try & find my way back to

Bathroom issues and Urso
Has anyone had digestive problems taking the
Urso
and were you successful in resolving them? Clearly the
Urso
is doing its job with my liver and I don't really want to stop taking it. I take 4 pills a day because of my size, two in the morning and two at night.

Very tired.
My biopsy showed only inflammation and that was before starting
urso
. No fibrosis.. my doctor thought I should be feeling better now that my enzymes are in normal range. I don't think he really understands PBC even though he is a hepatologist.

Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy, 26 weeks
Stopped the
urso
(as it makes my life unbearable with itch). Follow a light and low fat diet. Any ideas from the rest of you will be very welcome. I wonder how on earth I will survive until 37 weeks or at least until baby is safe to be born. Thank you in advance.

I have not posted in such a long time! I was informed I had PBC when I was 65. I have been taking Urso. now for 4 years.
I have gained about 6 pounds. I still work and feel pretty good. I get tired a little easier but that could be old age! A month ago I had a TIA ( stroke). I spent one night in the hospital and they ran so many tests! They can't find anything wrong and said resume all activities! So life is good

Pbc trial😄
I was invited to participate in a Pbc medication trial .fortunately I'm a responder to
urso
witch I have been taking 1000 mg a day for over a year. The trail is to try and establish why some people respond to
urso
and others don't. Due in the trail I will be doing lots of different tests.

Ultrasound Vs Fibroscan
Should
URSO
have brought that Alk-phos number lower by now?? I've blown my diet ALOT in the last few months. Could this have an effect on my Alk-phos not going any lower? My hepatologist doesn't seem concerned and I NEVER speak to him. Our relationship is through his nurse.

Advice on taking Urso for a newbie :)
Hi - just wondering for all you experienced PBCers taking
Urso
- I'm new to this and have been started on
Urso
750gmg once day - I've found it giving me lots of GI upset - do any of you take it in divided doses? Or usually just the once a day- thanks in advance?

Biopsy says PBC/AIH overlap
She said that my liver issues during my last pregnancy probably spurred it on, making AIH come on aggressively, but she is very encouraged by my latest labs that I'm responding so well to that
Urso
. My bilirubin is higher than ever though all my other labs are going down.

Advice regarding medication
help, I was diagnosed May time by letter saying I am early stages and that I would require regular check ups but I would not require medication at present, I haven't seen a dr since February, have no idea when my next appointment would be, but a little concerned cause I have read that people go on
