I'm just curious as to how many of you take Oclavia. I know Shulsey takes it along with Urso.

Well I guess what's so scary for me, is I couldn't take Urso. What is your dosage on Oclavia ? I take 5mg per day. But you know what.? I skipped it today until I go face to face with dr. 😉

I take 5mg a day also. I've been seeing reports that say to take it once a week. I don't know about that but, I plan on asking about it when I see my Dr next week.

Yes, I read that also in the link posted today. Let me know. I'll be anxious to see different responses from different dr's.

And, in one of the links, it said FDA may issue black box warning. Did you read both links?

No I haven't read that one.

Read the Bloomberg link. If FDA does issue black box warning, it will be for life threatening risks.

I'm supposed to be going on it next month so I'm very cautious given the recent news, particularly around dosage. I think it would be great if we all shared the advice we receive from our different doctors with regard to dosage. Maybe that way we could make some sense of it...

I was supposed to take it but my enzymes went down and we wanted to see if enzymes would go normal if I stopped having my daily protein shake. Blood test next month will tell

I was recruited in to the OCA trial here in Australia in 2013. I was randomised to the placebo arm for a year but have been taking 10mg/day for 3 years ( 5mg/day for the first 6 months after being switched to active drug.) Still take Urso as well.

OCA is still not available in Oz and I am part of the Long Term Safety Extension Arm part of the trial.

I have emailed my Dr to see what she makes of the the report related to the above concern.
