In need of advice please....
To change docs AND meds is a huge change but my MS is progressing (EDSS score is going up and cognition is going down) and I’m not tolerating the
Tysabri
well anymore. Am I rushing into such a big change or would I be foolish to not change??

I need to try something
I guess I would have to see the doctor who tried to force me to go on
Tysabri
, since he did try and help me when many others did not want to clean up other doctors mess. I don't know where else to turn. I am frightened because of PML due to not having a spleen.

Vaccines FYI
Some MS therapies, including steroids and disease-modifying therapies like Lemtrada (alemtuzumab),
Tysabri
(natalizumab), and Gilenya (fingolimod), are associated with diminished effectiveness of vaccines and a risk of infection as well.

Cymbalta for pain
I am currently on
Tysabri
. I use a cane because of the weakness and stiffness in my legs. I am currently on Celexa for depression which helps my depression but not with my pain. I would like to switch to Cymbalta because it is suppose to help with depression and pain.

Topamax
I was given that after they stopped the
Tysabri
in the hopes that it would help with headaches. I went from not being able to sleep to not being able to stay awake. Long story short, I’m already off of that med too.

Tysabri or Ocrevus?
My neurologist is back on the pushing me to change from
Tysabri
to Ocrevus...I still have reservations. Having my total knee replacement 4/22, with last
Tysabri
infusion 4/17. Dr. wants that to be my last infusion and then have the 6 week washout during recovery from surgery.

Yello!
Tomorrow is my
Tysabri
infusion which will kick off a new month of feeling like poo all over again. Yay! At least I’m staying on top of my game mentally. Hello community. I know I’m not the only one. I hope you’re all as well as can be. One foot in front of the other.

How are you supposed to know the difference???
I’ve mentioned it a few times...I’m on
Tysabri
. Today was supposed to be my 5th infusion. After a few questions 1) have you experienced any recent changes in your cognitive function? Answer: yep 2) any recent changes in your walk or gait?

Advanced MS
I have been only on
Tysabri
and my MRI's have shown no changes, but I don't feel like it is getting any better, especially my walking. I feel like my symptoms are getting worse. Can anyone help with any input? Thanks.

Myelosplastic Syndrome
Then
Tysabri
for six years which was always coded by the insurance as “chemotherapy”. This basically set up the perfect storm. At this point I will not get treatment, but constantly have my blood count checked.

Second ocrevus infusion done 😁
The length of time infusions take, a lot of times even on
tysabri
the people were in for a short period of time. She was getting her first of two titration doses and I like to think I helped her because she was so scared about the whole process. She was only self injecting before this.

I have heard
Tysabri
doesn’t last the full month and you start to feel bad toward the end, before your next infusion. What symptoms has anybody had as they wait for the next infusion?? Is it a return of symptoms that were gone right after the infusion? Thx all😊

Ocrevus.
Kinda like
Tysabri
where you had 3 really good weeks then 1 where you could tell you needed it again. If you do, when did it start out of the 6 months between infusions. I've just been feeling like crap lately and was wondering if that's what I'm experiencing.

I'm new here...but not to MS!
I am in my second year, including 6 months with nothing, of treatment with
Tysabri
. I have many problems and issues but I won't go into them here.

old timers 34+ years
And I've been on all kinds of drugs,
Tysabri
for 10 years. The bottom line is stay active, start medication ASAP and be positive.

It's been a while since returning to this wonderful site
Right now I am getting
tysabri
every 28 days by the iv. It has worked miracles for me. I feel as though I have the best health care in a long time. I have been on rebif and steroids before now. I keep up on vitamins and try to eat healthier each day. It does help.

MRI and Ocrevus
So this means that my 5 years of stability on
Tysabri
are continuing on Ocrevus. I'm grateful for this and don't expect improvements. I also feel the same as I have the last 6 years with the same ol' symptoms coming and going.

I have used
Tysabri
for 3 years and I’m really happy with it.
Tysabri
can be a first DMT. Some insurance companies will only cover
Tysabri
if a patient has tried one of the less expensive drugs first and didn’t have good enough results. If your insurance will allow it I would start it first.
