Is Parkinson's disease a lifestyle disease? 1. Parkinsonian lifestyle (higher risk).

Help with Lab Results
I am on 137 mcg Tirosint (taken 24 hours before labs) and 20 mcg Cytomel ( 5 mcg taken12 hours before labs). I stopped the B12 a week before the labs. I'm not sure why the lab did not test Ferritin. I think iron labs look low. D is adequate. B12 could go up a bit. I take the Thorne Iron Bisglycinate

Big weight lost but still exhausted. Has anyone else experienced this?
Dear Hypo friends, My lab results were not as good as usual, mainly TSH: 4,1 instead of +/- 1,7 . FT3 & FT4 were +/- the same . Will post more exactly tomorrow. But I believe I know how to remedy that. I was on 88 Evthyroxin 4/5 days a week, alternating with 75 Tirosint. (Though I’ve been advised

TSH labs
Hi all-Need some expert advise here on TSH labs. Two weeks ago my TSH was 1.80 with a steady dose of 50mcg of tirosint for six weeks. Started an increase at that time of 13mcg more of tirosint, but still felt under medicated. Just had labs done again and it's now 1.10 ! So how can TSH go from 1.80 to

Can anyone help me with blood results?
I hope someone can make some sense of my bloods as have just got off phone with Endo and been told they are perfect..... I do not believe they are and the main consideration is I feel dreadful. He says I am in fact overmedicated (Levo))which is certainly not true. My T4 has been on a downward trajectory

In case it is of any relevance, there is now a Lannett product - manufactured by IBSA (who make Tirosint) - which appears to be the exact same product. Details of the product available here: https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/drugInfo.cfm?setid=686ba2cf-7651-44de-9b4d-eeaaf2a0e364 I have attached

Tirosint
Hi, I'm new to this community and looking for an alternative to the standard levothyroxine medication given in the uk. Are there any patients in the uk taking Tirosint? If so I'd be interesting to hear about about any experiences with the medication and if they managed to get it through the nhs?

My doctor wants to reduce my t4 in half.
I have recently took labs my tsh is 0.19 and t3 is 4.3. I take tirosint 50mcg (levothyroxine capsule) and cytomel 5mcg. She wants to reduce my dosage to 25mcg and keep the cytomel 5mcg. She said on the former thyroid dosage I was hyperthyroid and I wanted to know if my body would adjust. Did anyone here

Heart racing and Mucuna
I usually take 3 1/8 of a teaspoon of L
tyrosine
powder because a lot of the times the Mucuna has a tendency to make me nauseous or vomit. I came across this article and although it’s three years old it still seems so prevalent and makes so much sense to me.

Neuronal Death
It is structurally very similar to
Tyrosine
and only differs by a single hydroxyl group. Levodopa enters the brain through an amino acid transporter. Levodopa is then taken up by specific neurones in the brain called dopaminergic neurones.

Does Vitamin C Influence Neurodegenerative Diseases and Psychiatric Disorders?
Apart from this, Vit C plays a role of an enzymatic co-factor participating in biosynthesis of such substances as collagen, carnitine,
tyrosine
and peptide hormones. It has also been indicated that myelin formation in Schwann cells could be stimulated by ascorbic acid.
