I wrote 3 months ago that I was placed on Tricor, a cholesterol lowering drug that has been known to lower liver enzymes, as I was a non responder to Urso. My alkphos. was over 1,000 about two years ago. I was around 600 when I began the Tricor along with Urso.

I have been placed on Tricor. Fingers crossed that my numbers improve. The results from others who have used fenafibrates sound promising with few side effects. I will let you know in a few months if the drug is effective for me.

I have high tryglic. and was put on Tricor for the last 6 years. My tryglic have come down. During that time, my ALT/AST has risen consistently to about 80's. I have an ultra sound 5 years ago - it was clean.

My doctor had just started me on fenofibrate 48 mg..... is anyone else taking this? The brochure in the meds said to be careful and make sure your doctor knows about kidney disease, pbc etc....concerned 😔

Is anyone on urso and tricor and how are you tolerating these meds? I want to thank everybody in advance.... if it was not for this site I don't know what I would do.... live on an island with no family for hours away... ❤️ Thanks for helping
