Angina with clear arteries- cardiac syndrome X. My 55 year old friend has been diagnosed with this and she suffers angina daily on exertion.
She also has episodes of racing palpitations and tiredness. She was given calcium channel blockers, aspirin, statins, PPI's and nitrate spray but refuses to take any of these due to side effects. She is normal weight, has normal BP and cholesterol under 5, but her mother had a heart attack followed with

Is this angina?
For about a month now I have been experiencing an uncomfortable, sluggish feeling in my chest that can go on for hours at a time. Occasionally (about once a day) it gets really painful. I looked up the NHS website, and my symptoms seem to match that of angina (neck pain, tiredness, breathlessness, pain

Has anyone experienced withdrawal symptoms while tapering off of Roprinerol (Requip)?
A previous neurologist had prescribed 24 mg of Requip XL daily. I also take 600 mg of Stalevo and 10 tablets of Carbidopa / Levodopa 25/100 each day. The next neurologist decreased the dosage from 24 mg to 12 mg. My new neurologist, who is a movement disorder specialist, has had me taper off from 12

Does anyone take Trihexyphenidyl?
I had an appointment with my Consultant yesterday as my usual cocktail of Stalevo, Requip XL and Sinemet CR are not controlling my tremor. After discussing various options I was asked to try one of the above tablets twice a day. As I have never heard of this drug I wondered whether anyone had had

I am curious as to what kind of problems any one has had taking Sinemet?
I started taking it in August and am now having a few issues. I also taking. Requip XL 12mg a day. I am not sure if it could be my thyroid -- I'm at that lovely age where some days my body is not my own. HORMONES! Would kindly accept responses from the women . Please no snide Man remarks --I'm just not

Reply to a post from Tats which I wanted to share re., cardiac symptoms.
I am not a doctor but I understand where you are coming from as I had the exact same angina symptoms 18 months ago and I am sure they were caused by inadequate thyroid medication 100mcgs. I went for various tests cardiac and high blood pressure over thirteen years since RAI treatment for thyrotoxicosis

Brand v/s Generic
I have been on Requip xl since being diagnosed in 09. The last 6 months I have been taking requip xl 4mg tablets to equal 12 to !6 mg a day. My neuro put me on sinamet and at first was in a fog but have cut back and better now. When ordering my new Rx I found what I had been taking was the generic

Sinemet CR
I have recently been prescribed Sinemet CR in addition to my usual meds of Stalevo and Requip XL to help with sleep problems. However, in addition to them not helping with sleep my tremor seems to be quite a bit worse. I go back to the hospital next week and wondered if my tremor problems would be due

re update on chest pains.
For those who may remember that I posted about having chest pains way back in June. This week I went in for an angiogram and was told there is no blockage in my arteries but that they went into spasm while the dr was in there! Apparently 2% of people with angina have this vacuospastic type and need

Sinemet CR and sleep
I have recently been prescribed Sinemet CR to help with my sleep, or rather lack of it. I take 4 x Stalevo 100mg and 1x8mg Requip XL daily. I have been taking last Stalevo at about 7pm and Sinemet at about 10pm when going to bed as advised. I am still waking after about 2 hours. I know a lot of people

Help! - I need sleep
I was wondering whether anyone has had any positive, or otherwise, experience when taking Sinemet Plus? I was taking Stalevo 100 4 times a day and Requip XL 8mg once a day but was recently given Sinemet Plus 25mg in addition. My sleep pattern was at the most 2 hours after going to bed and then usually

Can this happen really
I just moved to amarillo texas from clovis new mexico went to walgreens to get my requip xl transfered and the pharmachy in clovis wouldn't transfer it. He said he would lose to much money. Can they do that? This will be my third day without pills. I called doc and had a new scrip sent to walgreens
