Thyroid peroxidase (TPO)

Hello, My thyroid has been under suspicion for many years but I cannot seem to get any answers. Postnatally, (four months after giving birth), some fifteen years ago, my TSH was tested and was 12.6. Nothing was done about this. ( I have only just seen this on my NHS app). Fast forward to eight years

I have thyroid ultrasound and levels checked yearly and they always came back normal until this year: [u]4.08. 2023[/u] TSH: 0.26 (0.4 - 4.5) T3: 1.20 (0.6 - 17) T4: 8.60 (0.8 - 19) [u]8.09.2023[/u] TSH: 0.07 (0.4 - 4.5) TG: 32.6 (1.8 - 111) Anti-TG: 1.3 (0 - 4.5) Anti-TPO: 37 (0 - 80)

T4 really low in range T3 about halfway in range Antibodies TPO and thyroglobulin both present but below range. Does that mean definitely not autoimmune? Cortisol high Magnesium high in range. To me the T4 is a big red flag, but with the T3 not so bad I wonder if she's converting T4 to T3 ok.

Subsequently given diagnosis of fibro - last year after 3 bouts of covid within 6 months; took a medichecks thyroid panel which revealed elevated TPO - several bloodtests over the past year have looked ok but my TSH is in the low end of normal - recent stomach issues led to bloodtests which revealed

In the thyroid gland is a membrane ROS (reactive oxygen species) protein called Thyroid peroxidase, or TPO. Attached to TPO is a Complement Control Protein or CCP. Research papers show that if this protein is compromised it can trigger a Complement reaction.. antibodies.
