Thyroid peroxidase (TPO)

My GP did thyroid blood work last week and my results were as follows: TPO 67 IU/mL range = 0-34 Thyoglobulin Antibody <1.0 range = 0.0-0.9 TSH 0.84 uIU/mL range = 0.34-4.94 T3 free 2.7 pg/mL range = 1.7-3.7 T4 free 1.03 ng/dL range = 0.70-1.48 I know my TPO is only slightly elevated

I had the TPO antibody at a low level I think circa 150. So my October bloods came back last wk as follows: TSH: 1.64 range: 0.27 - 4.2 T4: 15.8 range: 10 - 22 T3: 3.8 range: 3.1 - 6.8 Should I increase my dose? I feel my T3 is low - should it not be sitting much higher?

I am to have my bloods taken again in 2 months and to check for TPO antibodies. I just wanted to see if anyone else had had a similar experience?

The latest results now show my levels are normal but my TPO antibodies have increased since the last test I did. So now I'm really confused! My thyroid levels have gone from low T4 to normal levels, all on its own.

He ordered an ultrasound which found two small cysts (which he said he'd like find in a decent % of healthy people) and antibody testing which found negative TRab (no numbers) and elevated TPO 74.6 (0.0-59.0). He's been very non-committal about what's causing the Hyper and I'm not sure he knows.

Medichecks TPO 28 Feb was 121 Kiu/l (0-34) NHS test 15 April: Serum thyroid peroxidase antibody concentration 664 iu/mL [0.0 - 6.0]; Ultrasound in April showed inflammation/ thyroiditis suffering with overactive thyroid with levels just over the ranges but very symptomatic.

The only antibodies they looked at were TPO which was negative.

I did have positive TPO antibodies 394 kIU/L( all details on previous post) . Fast forward four weeks my TSH level is now 9.7 and T4 is 18 pmol/L, T3 wasn't tested even though was stated on the form. I have been started on 50mcg of thyroxine today.

But now I know why I'm feeling so rough again: 24th Sept 2024 TSH 0.02 mIU/L (0.27 - 4.2) -6.4% Free T4 (fT4) 14 pmol/L (12 - 22) 20.0% Free T3 (fT3) 4.6 pmol/L (3.1 - 6.8) 40.5% T4:T3 Ratio 3.043  Thyroglobulin Antibodies (TgAb) 15.6 IU/mL (≤ 115) Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies (TPO) 15.1 IU/mL

I have been unwell for several years now, lots of odd symptoms originally non specific, thyroid tested back in 2021 and was raised tsh , I don't have any numbers to share I was just told they were raised and that my tpo antibodies were also positive.

The other one, TPO is still over 900. (Last year was the first time I ever saw those numbers.) I don't know if fluctuations like that are typical or if something I did made a difference.

Repeat testing of anti -TPO is not indicated. Any help in determining these results would be most appreciated, have an appointment with a specialist shortly on the 23 November. Thank you

My results are: TSH 5.68 [0.27-4.2] T4 13.8 [12-22] T3 5.4 [3.1-6.8] TPO 127 [O-34] Vit D 86.8 [50-250] B12 102 [37.5-188] Foliate 40.8 >7 Ferritin 206 [30-650] My results from GP surgery in December are: TSH 5 [0.35-4.94] T4 10.9 [9-19] Don't think they test T3 at my surgery.

Test results for the last private test: TSH 2.6( 0.35-4.94), ft4 13 (9-19), ft3 5 (2,4-6), TPO antibodies 1,40(0,00-5.61), AntiThyroglob antibodies 1,8 (<4,12) My supplements as self medication are: mg bisglycinat 300 mg daily, b12 in drops 2000 , vit d 2000 .

This time i will push for freet3 and other things that have popped up on my searches anti tpo anti tg..Gut health and stomach acid have been addressed. Many thanks

My TPO has gone up from 9 to 11 from being diagnosed 2021! I stopped taking B complex 1 week before test, no extra folate or B12 tabs 🙈 no levothyroxine for 24hrs before I took test and looks like I have an raised CRP which dr on medichecks puts down to infection/inflammation…

I did have the antibody test (tpo) and my results were 16 (range 0 - 31).
