Shared care agreement, should I worry?
My GP in the past has been very blunt and said they no nothing about
thyroid
conditions
, and wiyhin reason, trusted my own research. They were the ones who agreed my referral in the first place. That was over a year ago now.

First Appointment - venting
I gave up when they said low heart rate isn’t associated with
thyroid
conditions
. I wanted to cry when I pointed at my low iron/ 19% transferrin, asking if they think it could be causing fatigue and they said “I only test ferritin, the rest don’t matter”.

Could chronic urticaria be related to underactive thyroid?
I'm interested to know if there is any correlation between under active
thyroid
and skin
conditions
, especially as my autoimmunity scores are off the scale. Many thanks.

Thyroid disease and Liothyronine: a petition asks for funds
Sadly, there are often limited treatment options and gaps in health professionals’ understanding of
thyroid
-related
conditions
. This petition therefore seeks to try and leverage some funds from Advanz Pharma’s fine to bolster thyroid research initiatives.

Looking back on my thyroid journey, a success story and motivation to keep on fighting :)
I hope that one day people with
thyroid
conditions
will be treated better, but for now, we’d better keep fighting <3

Need advice understanding results
I then started my journey of learning more about
thyroid
conditions
as I wasn’t so convinced about the FT4 result. I returned to the GP in April as I still felt I wasn’t coping and asked to be tested again.

The TSH and diogenes
I just found this, written by diogenes some time ago, that I saved:
The following papers from the Japanese shows that, in people with no working
, "normal" healthy-type
conditions
on T4 therapy only occur if TSH is between 0.03-0.5.
Above this, hypo symptoms are still present.

Heads Up
I’ve looked into this and it seems that the ‘high risk’ criteria have been revised and that some neurological and psychiatric disorders are now included - also Diabetes 1 and 2 and COPD and severe asthma No sign of any
thyroid
conditions
including Graves or Hashimotos.

Views on my test results
Shocked to learn how badly
thyroid
conditions
are treated in UK. Began losing my eyebrows 2 years ago and my diverticulitis began flaring up after years of being stable. Various ultrasound scans and examination etc all clear.

High platelets due to ET or MF is anyone on anticoagulants such as Clexane or Heparin?
If you are on anticoagulants what platelet numbers do you have? Are any of you also on hydroxycarbamide too?

Sore knee and pain gels
I know on Apixaban I can’t take an anti inflammatory or even the gels. I’ve got a painful knee. I asked in Boots about this stuff. Pharmacist said he couldn’t say. Anyone here heard of it, used it, know it’s ok with Apixaban? 😀
