I am on Bisoprolol 1.25 which not only makes me sleepy but believe has lowered my pulse. Has anyone else had this. Any advice appreciated. Thank you

Hi yes I had that. I have a low pulse anyway at 43, the bisoprolol took it down to 35.
Doctor took me off it as I didn't really need it. Suggest you go back as you need an alternative
Good morning JMF1. Only advice you need is to go and get checked out by your g.p. Best be on the safe side with your symptoms. Brian
Hi. I am 89 years old and have a pulse rate of 40-42. It's been like that for the last 40 years. Various consultants and doctors have said "this has to be investigated" but nothing has been done. I too am on 1.25 bisoprolol which was to correct palpitations I had for a while. At no stage have I worried about it. That's the key. Don't worry!
I’m on 1.25 bisoprolol too
Last year I suffered pulse rates down to 46, this resulted in 6 “stand up and black out” events, one in LA airport which cost $5400, one in The local airport which cost me a £950 holiday, the others were falls in the house without serious injury.
Since 1st January I have dieted and lost 28 lbs and the low heart rate evens on my Apple Watch have stopped.
My doctor suggested that I take the beta blocker every other day, I haven’t tried this yet because the low pulse events have stopped.
