Looking for 2nd opinion at Duke re new bladder cancer
Zytiga + Prednisone + Lupron have been successfully holding back bone mets since November 2021. Had cystoscope January 2023 to prepare for TURP. TURP Prior to Radiation: Opinions?
63yo, Gleason 4+4, PSA 0.055, 2 measurable mets in pelvic lymph nodes-right iliac chain I finished a round of 6 chemo treatments in mid-February. I'm currently on Lupron and Nubeqa. My last PSA was 0.055. I decided to take a break before I start radiation in August or September to do some travel and

PSA after 4-5 months on Lupron (Scholz)?
Just watched a Scholz (PCRI) video posted last week about PSA. He said multiple times that PSA should reach a nadir of <0.1 after 4-5 months on 1st generation ADT and that if it didn't "[i]something's wrong, that is an unusual type of prostate cancer that has some hormone resistance and studies over

Alfuzosin doesn't make a difference!
I have been taking Alfuzosin for years, but getting a little dizzy, so I went off for 3 weeks. I did not notice any difference in my urination after I went off, OR when I went back on. What is going on? Should I just go off this drug or is it doing something beneficial but unseen? Why would some

One cancer apparently not enough!
I had a really good result from PSMA-PET scan in November 2022. PSA had bottomed out to 0.04 over six months. But PSMA did indicate one slight met on L4. January 2023, PSA had risen to 1.9. I elected to have targeted radiation to the L4. No complications or side effects, but two weeks after the

TURP for prostate cancer patients
It’s more than 6 months since my last post. My dad took Lu-J591 in last August 2022 and I planned to share his experience if the result’s positive. Unfortunately, his PSA did not reduce and now it is 135. From last April, he had suprapubic catheterization because of urine retention. It makes him easily

anorgasmia after prostate surgery years ago
I'm just wondering if other men had this after a prostate surgery. I lost the ability to orgasm or ejaculate. I knew that this could be possible but I didn't expect this to last this long (its been more than 6 years). I thought I could deal with this on my own but that was a mistake. i wonder if

Radiation and Large Median Lobe
I went to my first Urologist appointment because of urinary problems. A DRE discovered a lump that was diagnosed as Gleason 7 (3+4). It was also discovered that I had a large median lobe that was likely the cause of my slow stream and urgency. There was a discussion between my Urologist (wanted to

Is it too late for Triplet Therapy? (4 months on Elligard already.).
Switching to Dr. Dorff from old MO. First appointment on 12/28. Hoping to get Triplet Therapy that old MO basically said no to. That MO also dragged out any treatment beyond initial Elligard injection for two months waiting for a bone biopsy that she ultimately ignored the results of. Anyways, diagnosed

Pain after TURP
I underwent a TURP about 2 weeks ago. This was after having total urine retention, and subsequently living with a Foley catheter for 7 months. I had a Suprabupic catheter put in when under with the TURP, and lucky they did, as so far I still haven't any sort of normal urinary function. The question
