Gastroperesis a new symptom I've acquired.
For a month now I've been struggling with excruciating bowel pain in a morning and food not digesting on a night. Doctor said my ibs was back as I've suffered with it for decades until diagnosed with hypothyroidism and given levothyroxine then it all seemed to stop. Last year I had same issue and had

Well we're back to the Endo to be told we're trying Stop and Block again.
some may remember my thyroid story as it's been a while since I've posted, but I'm still a regular reader of posts. Tuesday the day all meds are being stopped. I refused the op to remove my thyroid and have it burned out through the great advice in here plus I wasn't keen on having a op at my age either

morning or evening
I have no thyroid and I am on 100ug Levothyroxine. Is it better to take morning or evening before bed. My dr says both are effective.

Should I reduce dose slightly? T3/T4 combination therapy
Hello lovely people. I recently had my bloods done and met with my endocrinologist, and wanted to ask your thoughts. I am currently on 87.5mcg Levothyroxine and 25mcg T3 daily. I feel better than I have in a long time, though possibly slightly anxious (difficult to tell though as I am prone to anxiety

Blood Test results - help please
Hi Everyone I was diagnosed with myxoedema hypothyroidism in 1989 and have taken 150 mcg Levo ever since. I am also coeliac. My new GP has recently queried my TSH and says I have been over medicated for a long time - since 2014 my TSH has been around 0.05 and my T4 in the upper range around 18. My

I’ve recently had a Medichecks thyroid test with some surprising results. My results in Nov from GP were: FT3 6.3 - range 2.6-6pmol/L FT4 19.3 - range 9-19pmol/L TSH 0.01 - range 0.4-4.9 mu/L Recent medichecks results attached. My GP wanted to reduce my Levo on Nov but agreed to monitor it because

I had an under active thyroid, been taking 50mg levothyroxine for 1 yr, 3 blood tests since all show perfect levels but I can’t lose weight.
Even though my blood tests show that I’m on the correct dose of Levothyroxine since having a hemi-thyroidectomy, I cannot shift the pounds, even though I am eating very few calories every day. (Everything that I do eat throughout the day is nutritious, small portions, and I have no junk food or “empty

If anyone has a recommendation for an endo at Southampton Hospital can you dm me please? I have been on T3/levothyroxine combination for quite a while as I do not convert sufficiently on Levothyroxine alone. I recently increased my levothyroxine by 25mg a day following my last blood results and

caffeine and Levo
on reading the insert leaflet they advise against having caffeine for an hour after taking your tablet. I’m wondering what other people do about that as I could swap my morning cuppa for a caffeine free one or take at bedtime instead. My dose has gone from starting on 50mg in May 2023 to 75 in September

Effect of thyroid meds on adrenals
I have been on levothyroxine for 2 years, numbers were good but wasn't converting well so I added a bit of Cytomel, 3 mcg. I felt ok, but not great. I tried to increase the Cytomel dose to 5 mcg but it made me sleepy all day. I finally lost weight and my face looked really good. Maybe I should have continued

Dosage Amounts on Combi Therapy
Hope no one minds sharing, I started on self sourced T3 in December, adding it to my Levo. I'm due to run my first blood test on this new regime in a week on two. I'm curious about the dosages other members who take Combi thyroid meds are on, how much T3 and T4 they take daily, and do you split doses

My ‘thyroid journey’ has been an interesting one and now approaching its 4th year. I’m fairly convinced I don’t have autoimmune thyroid disease and relatively confident my adrenals play a big part in my symptoms, however it’s not just adrenals as I’ve tested myself on HC solo and it doesn’t work. Aaanyway

Good morning, I wonder if anyone could give me some advice for a telephone appoint later today. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in feb 2018 and have never felt truly well. I have also had endo consultation in 2020 and he could not find any basis to give me T3 After never feeling particularly

Feeling worse
Hi all Hope everyone's had a good start to 2024. I was started on levothyroxine 25mcg on 19th December, after being on it for 2 weeks I did feel a very slight improvement, it only lasted a couple days, and have been feeling worse since. The levo was teva brand. I have collected my new month prescription
