Eltroxin?
Hi, I’ve been on Levo for 3 years. Actavis just worked for me. I tried Mercury Pharma and Teva but neither of those agreed with me. MP made me feel incredibly tired and under medicated. Since the awful change from Actavis to Accord, like many others here, I’ve been experiencing many horrible side effects

Lactose free options
Hi everyone I want to approach my doctor who is really excellent, about changing my medication to be lactose free, as I have been doing great on completely dairy/gluten/and almost soy free diet, as my T3 is thybon but my current T4 northstar/accord isn't. I have looked through the helpful list on Thyroid

Problems with side effects from taking Accord
Hi everyone I've not written here for a long time because mostly I've been well. For 10 years I've been taking Aspen Eltroxin 100mcg and it suits me well with no problems. I buy it annually when I'm abroad. Problem this year because I'm running out and obviously can't travel abroad to restock. So I

TSH reduction in 1 week
Hi All, I took 50mcg of Eltroxin for 1 week and had bloods yday- owing to symptoms I was feeling, TSH in gone from 63 a week ago to 53. My FT3 and FT4 are relatively the same which is way below the markers. Both were taken after a cup of tea but before food at approx 9am. This is quite a quick reduction

Symptoms worse on meds and getting new ones!
I’ve had 2 stints on Eltroxin- one 25mcgs for approx 6 weeks which exacerbated symptoms so stopped.. symptoms gradually subsided.. then crept up again and bck on eltroxin 50mcgs - as thought the original low dose was perhaps the source of the issues.. but now a week in and the symptoms have gone through

Best T3 Medication
Hi there, My 6 year old daughter who has been on Eltroxin for a year now is either going to have T3 added to her thyroxine or switch to Armour. I was wondering people’s thoughts on which would be best. If we were to add T3 is there a brand that is usually favoured? Some of you have read previous posts

Diagnosed with Hashimotos, need opinions on symptoms
I posted a few weeks ago about how my TSH dropped to 0.01 after a small dose increase back in August 2020 from 50mcg to 62.5 that lasted for 3 months. I remember being relatively fine until I suddenly wasn't. I started experiencing a sudden onslaught of symptoms. The worst being anxiety and panic attacks

Extreme shortness of breath, chest pain and sore throat
Hi - I have Hashimotos and have been ok for a couple of years but for a few weeks now I have had extreme shortness of breath, rough throat, chest pain and palpitations. This has come on slowly and is terrible now and not going away. I've had antibiotics and prednisone but no change. My latest blood test

Tried a new approach!
I ordered Mercury Pharma Eltroxin 50mcg and 100mcg from docs on Monday and as I nearly always have trouble getting the 50's I phoned Advanz manufactor customer care to find out if there was a supply problem. Thankfully no there wasn't and was told both dosages were available. My last prescription Boots
