Medication for those without stents?
Hi everyone, I had a smallish heart attack aged 42 (3 years ago now) and I didn't have any stents fitted as the blockage was in a small artery. I was on Ticagrelor for about 6 months then moved to clopidogrel. I've been on it since. Is there any hope of coming off it ever? I asked my GP who wrote to

Why is my BP going down?
Been on BP meds since my early 30's controlled until I was diagnosed with stage 3 ckd (GFR35) started increasing and they added medication. Taking 2 different kinds. Then they changed from lostartan (unavailable) to telmisartan. After 3 months. My potassium went up (59) and my GFR went down 17pts

How to deal with constant hunger in a diabetic, hypertense, and with renal insufficiency patient?
Hello, I am new in this community and I am seeking some advice for my mom, who is 65 years old, has been diabetic since 2006 and a diagnosed hypertense since 2008. Due to her not taking care of herself, in 2018 they diagnosed her with renal insufficiency. She is on pioglitazone, bezafibrate, telmisartan

Twitching of legs
Hi All I have been suffering of permanent AF for long time, controlled (not well) with Bisoprolol, Apixaban and Telmisartan and Statins. Recently I noted frequent twitching of my legs. Can it be connected with AF or the medicines or not? Anyone have experienced that? Many thanks.

Calcium Channel Blocker's and Nocturia.
Has anybody noticed an increase in Nocturia since taking CCB's? I am taking Amlodipine in the evening and noticed an increase in Nocturia. Every morning at about 03:30 I am awakened by a familiar and unwelcome urge....ok, it's very common in over 70's, but it's fairly new to me. Problem is I rarely get

Query: anyone with diagnosed fibro later put on lisinopril?
My ‘normal’ fibromyalgia pain for last 6 years all over with exhaustion and weakness ( I’m also insulin dependent diabetic, hypothyroid, Hashimoto’s and 40 year old chronic spine problem), but for some reason my BP shot up about a month ago. I’ve been taking amlodipine for years, and two weeks ago got

Mild atherosclerosis and Amlodipine
Hi everyone, newby here. I had been getting a discomfort in my chest after climbing a lot of stairs. I know it may sound strange, but it felt like I had swallowed an ice cube and had to wait for it to go down to stop the discomfort. I was initially told by my GP that everything was fine, but I persisted

Change of medication
I had a severe hypertensive episode in May & was admitted to hospital. I was discharged 2 days later with ramapril and amlodipine. I have had a horrid tickly cough since I was on the ramapril & GP has now prescribed losartan but my BP is creeping up a bit although I’m only on day 3 of the losartan.

I fell and broke 3 ribs last week, was taken to hospital. I have AF and take Nebivolol and Losartan, while in hospital they changed Losartan to Amlodipine. Came home 2 days ago and feel horrible on the Amlodipine, is it okay to go back to Losartan, have only been taking the Amlodipine for 3 days. Nebivolol

Blood Pressure and Heat, SLE and more.😕
Hi everyone, As we take on another season of heat everywhere, I complain about the heat each year, and I am sorry. I hope you all are doing the best you can with this wave.. My question is, does anyone out there have Hypertension with SLE? Many more symptoms seem to be aggravated by the changing weather

Amlodipine 5mg splittable to 2.5mg IS AVAILABLE
New to this community. Hello to All. I have recently had my prescribed amlodipine 5mg prescription reduced to 2,5mg in consequence of much reduced blood pressure and asymptomatic sinus bradycardia. Total withdrawal had earlier led to rebound hypertension; from 110/65 to 160/90 Unfortunately the tablets

AMLODIPINE
After I had a stroke I was diagnosed with AF. I was put on a number of tablets including Ramipril and Amlodipine for high blood pressure. My ankles and feet are regularly very swollen, and I have read that Amlodipine often causes this. Does anyone know of a tablet that performs in the same way to lower

High blood pressure
Hi I've had a pacemaker for 2 years but have recently been started on amlodipine for high blood pressure by my gp. A few days in and I'm feeling nauseous and have muscle aches. Just wondering if anyone else takes this and if they've had these symptoms. Thanks.
