Tecfidera

I see my Neuro next month for a recheck on the Tecfidera and the headaches so we shall see what he says about that. All in all, a good scan/report/experience! Jessie

I will probably have to change meds, as Tecfidera is not agreeing with me. I am having LOTS of trouble emptying my bladder, as in sitting there for fifteen minutes trying. 😰 I am thinking a catheter may be in my future. Anyone out there experienced this? How bad is using a cath?

This morning I took my first dose of the 240mg Tecfidera and so far everything has been going well. I make sure to take a low dose aspirin about 30 mins before taking the pill.

I was called Monday, received my medication today (tecfidera), and will start taking it tomorrow. Though my diagnosis is recent, I find a lot in common with the other posts I've read.

Thanks everyone for responding when I was thinking about switching to Tecfidera, it really helped ease my fears. Jessie

My doctor had mentioned it, but I just saw new studies that show that Tecfidera is working extremely well and seems to be outpacing even Gilenya which I was put on first and which I thought was fantastic until it ripped up my stomach.

I also have trigeminal neuralgia and am on a boat load of drugs ( tecfidera, oxtellar and lemictal.

Guess i'l be sticking with Tecfidera for longer than I had hoped.

Since I use a prescription box to keep my weekly meds organized, she said that Biogen has dark brown weekly rx organizers (free) because Tecfidera is light sensitive...or I can keep my bottle(s) with my rx organizer. Going to look online to see what I can find.

He made sure that Tecfidera was what I wanted to go on and then got the ball rolling for me to start it. I had blood work right after my appointment. A big surprise to me was that the company had already contacted me today.

So now I'm getting ready to start Tecfidera, I've had the bottle for 2wks and am still trying to talk myself into starting. I just don't like medicines, I wish there were more studies done on herbs.

They have to justify why Tecfidera opposed to any other medicines and it can take 4 to 6 weeks. I am ready for my current symptoms to stop but I will have to wait longer now.

I am getting my first doses of Tecfidera delivered today. Starting it tomorrow. I am interested in hearing from anyone who is on it and their experience with it. Thank you ahead of time for the info. Love to all, Kelly

Then she was on tecfidera which stopped working and she development new leasing rather quickly and continued to develop more.

After the 12 days, my neurologist suggested Tecfidera which has some pretty scary/interesting side effects. Is anyone here familiar with this medication?

So that's 7 months of therapy, my hair has been falling out by the handfuls so he has decided to change me to Tecfidera. I was curious if anyone else has been through this same scenario.

Me just started tecfidera 2 days ago after Using rebif for a while

He is currently out of his med (tecfidera) due to another hold up. This time it happened when he was told by Briova he needed a prior authorization from his dr since it had been a year. His dr. faxed the paperwork to UHC. This is where everything has stalled for an entire week.

Then I went on Tecfidera, and I'm still on it. I didn't like it at first, cause I didn't feel AS GOOD, I didn't LOOK as good, and I FELL more. But I've been doing pretty good on it the past year or so. I taught sped for 23 years, and retiring in just 23 years was NOT in my plan.
