I am getting my first doses of Tecfidera delivered today. Starting it tomorrow. I am interested in hearing from anyone who is on it and their experience with it. Thank you ahead of time for the info. Love to all, Kelly

Advice about Tecfidera
Hope it goes well for you Amore55 Kelly π
Well Amore, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I don't know anything about any drugs so all the best with it. Please let us know how you do get on, good and bad, as it will be helpful to someone. Blessings Jimeka x
Hello! I've been on copaxone for four years. We decided it was time to switch in October 2016. I went on tecfidera and so far no problems. Also my severe constipation is 98 percent gone. Worth its weight in gold!!
@amore55 I have been on Tecfidera for a year now with no weird side effects. I am 73, diagnosed 2 years ago. The first month or so I had some nausea, but very little of that. I do still have the "flushing", which is similar to the "hot flashes" I've had forever. The difference is that this seems to be more on the skin itself, rather than the inside. In the beginning I felt it more on my face, like stinging, or a sunburn. My legs had begun to have a lot of heaviness before I got on this drug, and that went away. I do still have my days of fogginess, or thick headedness. Sometimes it feels like a tight headband, and dizziness, but this just goes along with MS. One MS Neuro said I have PPMS, and this drug could do more harm than good, but my other Neuro said no one knows which kind I have, and taking it might allow fewer flare ups than without it. I have stayed with him! I do take a baby aspirin with the pill in the evenings, but that is because of my age and heart protection. Best wishes for your new life on Tecfidera!
It IS great, been on it for ? Years with no problems at all, enjoy.

Kelly, I can't help with information, but am praying all goes well. We're cheering you on!
I tried it and couldn't tolerate the stomach issues. I know someone on it and does well. Good luck to you π
@Amore55 I have been on Tecfidera for almost a year now. I have improved a great deal. This was my first remission.
If you get the NeurologyNow mag you can see The Sopranos' Jamie -Lynn Sigler's story and how Tecfidera has helped her.
I have been on Tecfidera for over 2 years and all is well. My MRI in Nov. 2015 was stable. First time ever. I love the pill box that they gave me. It helps me keep track of my doses and to be consistent(taking twice a day). I still get the flushing every time but it is tolerable. I never had GI issues. If you have any concerns, the 24-hour nurse hotline is very helpful. I just called them yesterday. So, I really hope you do well with Tecfidera.
I was on tecfifera for 3 yrs loved the pill thing but got lesions 2 after 2 .5 years on med so I think this med was not for me
