5 years in Tamoxifen - do I do another 5
I have been in Tamoxifen 5 years plus and in theory have another 4/5 to do. I admit to being at my wits end - with constant hot flushes, mood swings, anxiety, fatigue and tearfulness not to mention joint pain insomnia, an inset inability to concentrate on anything and a total loss of confidence in myself

How do I get my head round this?
Hi Everyone, My treatment has been to remove the lump, have three weeks radiotherapy and, by choice give tamoxifen a go. I say by choice because I've been told it will only help me a little and the oncologists were split on whether I could just not bother. I have also been told that there is a very good

Hi,I would like to share the good news! My surveillance mammogram is now NORMAL! This time last year, I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. After the surgery, I declined radiotherapy and the tamoxifen. I optedfor natural supplements. I thought I would live to regret that decision but luckily I

New to this group of amazing women
My name is Tammy I am 50. I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma 10/4/16 by mammogram. A second lump was discovered when they performed a sonogram on the first lump, both ER+. I had a lumpectomy 4 nodes removed and clear, margins clear. Oncotype test came back with a score of 12 for 1.2cm

IVF and breast cancer - my experience
Hi Ladies. This is the first time that I've posted here. I was diagnosed in June with locally advanced breast cancer and following a mastectomy I'm now nearing the end of chemo. I have more surgery and radio to come and then 10 years of tamoxifen. The doctors are adopting what they call a 'belt and

Stupid Question ?
Ladies I have been told I am Er+ and Hr2+, and will receive Herceptin. But what about Tamoxifen ? Is it a case of one or the other? Or the one they feel best fits your cancer. I feel this may be a stupid question but wanted to ask thanks.

Forgot to take Tamoxifen!
Help! I forgot to take Tamoxifen today. I take it at 9am everyday. I'm 12 hours late. Question: Should I take it now and delay tomorrow's days by a few hours or let it be today and take tomorrow 's dose as usual?

Hmmmm not sure....
Hello ladies, visited the oncologist yesterday and he says there is only a 5 per cent chance my cancer will come back. This is very good news! And I'm thrilled. He then says radiation therapy but no tamoxifen because there is only two women in every hundred with this type of cancer that would be helped

Results at last...
Hi ladies, finally I got my results. Clean margins, no lymph involvement so three weeks radiotherapy is the next thing. I just wanted to thank all of the ladies on here for guiding me and helping me retain my sanity. You are all wonderful and without your kindness and generosity I think I would have

My mother is a 54 yr old MBC pt with metastasis to bones and pleural effusion. She has taken 6 cycles of ec chemotherapy and is on a break since end of September. She is currently on tamoxifen. Recent xray suggests return of pleural effusion and doctors hv asked to wait for a month before starting treatment
