London bridge appointment
Had recently bloods taken for
systemic
mastocytosis
... I have finally decided and made an appointment at London Bridge to see a specialist, it won't be Dr Cruz as he is overly busy , it will be Dr Kaul this Friday. I'm scared , I have 2 a4 pages of symptoms and are just getting worse.

Coil - yes or no?
Hi ladies, for years i have been told to have the coil as it will help with the Endo to reduce growth. However, i can only have the non hormonal one as i tend to go a little bit crazy when hormones are pumped into me. I keep getting put onto a whole array of pills with different hormonal levels in them

Hi all, I wondered if anyone had any good info on or experience of hypothyroidism and the intrauterine system / IUS method of birth control? In particular does progestogen interact with levothyroxine at all? I’ve been taking the combi pill for many years but have come off it partially because of the

Does PCOS get worse?
Does PCOS get worse? I’ve been diagnosed for a year and a half - give or take. Since coming off the hormonal coil I’ve had periods, sometimes I’d be late for a couple of weeks, which gives false hope of pregnancy... the last month or so I’ve seen more and more hair fall out and a couple of black hairs

Mirena coil: allergic reaction
Wanted to post on here to make people aware that despite the low incident rate of 1 in 100 patients having an allergic reaction to the Mirena IUS, it does happen. I had just had one! Here's a quick description of me & my symptoms so people can note what an allergic reaction to Mirena hormonal coil looks

Chronic fatigue
Hi all I am 27 years old and been diagnosed with mild endo for a year. The pain since the lap has subsided as I have the hormonal coil and barely have a period but recently it has come back with a vengeance and my flares up are getting worse. I have just started a new high profile job and have been tired

Decision, decision
I have been on zoladex for nearly 9 months and I have been told that I can't have anymore due to bone density. Even though it didn't take all my symptoms away it helped loads and I feel better than I have for the past year. I have been told that I can either have the hormonal coil (I have had 2 of these

Jaydess?
Hi all, So I've recently been to see a gynaecologist who has told me some fantastic news that my lap worked well and my MRI is clear! In terms of management, she advised a hormonal coil. I'm usually NO to hormones as they really affect my mental health (I had the mirena removed for this reason). However

Tryptase
I have persistently elevated tryptase (24) and had a bone marrow biopsy to rule out '
systemic
mastocytosis
'. They found no clusters of mast cells, so I was discharged from haematology. Immunology don't have a reason for my symptoms and raised tryptase. Anyone else had similar?

Please tell me this eventually sucks less? - Endometriosis.
I've had horrific periods since they first started. It was a blight all through secondary school. Midway through college I was put on the pill and then eventually the implant for the pain etc (I didn't want to use the pill as contraception as my memory is crap). They did tests and couldn't find any cysts
