Relatively high TSH but have a hard time staying on synthroid for treatment?
For many years I took
synthroid
without much issue...then over the course of a year or so, I kept needing to reduce my
synthroid
dose due to heart palpitations, nervousness and trouble sleeping.

Hi, I started off on levothyroxine, then armour. Currently on nature thyroid. New doc wants to put me on synthroid?
Then she said she is going to start me on
synthroid
. I'm willing to try anything as been feeling SO crappy but which doctor is right!! I don't want to have another year of trying new meds + changing the doses + still come out the other end feeling like this!!

Sourcing Synthroid
Would someone be willing to send a private message with ideas of where to buy
Synthroid
, not a generic form of T4. Dr S got me stabilised on 125 mcg but my GP will only prescribe 75 mcg. I'm getting more than a bit twitchy. Actually, I don't have enough energy to twitch!

Generic vs. Brand Levothyroxine
I also just spoke with a person in the US who also has hypothyroidism and is currently taking
Synthroid
. She said that when she tried a generic a couple years ago, her TSH level became unstable and she quickly switched back to
Synthroid
.

Hashimoto's & low T - Why would bottoming out TSH bring libido back?
At one point, my endo had prescribed 137mg of
synthroid
and within 6 months I was having some serious "hyper" symptoms including chest tightness, random panic attacks, insomnia... I actually ended up in the ER one night thinking maybe I was about to have a heart attack.

I just copied this from my facebook page called 'Life after TT' wow all discussions and comments welcomed...Any similar experiences?
I asked her how she stayed so thin and her response was
Synthroid
. I asked her why that mattered and she said that she used to take Levothyroxine and had problems with her weight, she said her TSH fluctuated all the time and her hair kept falling out.

Synthetic thyroid: Levothyroxine (eg: Synthroid; Levoxyl; Levothroid; Unithroid) OR natural: Armour Thyroid; Westhroid; Nature-throid?
I would appreciate any comments regarding experiencing treatment with either synthetic or natural thyroid. Also, I have read that the new formula for Armour isn't as effective as the old one?

overactive thyroid
I went to the doctor a few years ago and it was under and they put me on a
synthroid
and I didn't see any difference but yet my blood work was in the normal range, but I was still having symtoms such as sweating, hair loss, dry skin, gaining weight (115 to 135).

URGENT!! Any recommendations for an excellent thyroid specialist in London to perform blood tests and prescribe replacement hormones?
I had a total thyroidectomy 3 years ago at age 22 and am not happy with my replacement medication (I am on 150 mg of
Synthroid
, a Canadian variant). I am open to traditional medical approaches as well as more holistic ones. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I need a thyroid specialist in London-- recommendations please.
I had a total thyroidectomy 3 years ago at age 22 and am not happy with my replacement medication (I am on 150 mg of
Synthroid
, a Canadian variant). I feel that it just does not lessen the symptons of hypothyroidism (or in my case, I have no thyroid, though I am not really sure what to call that).
