You really need to give much more information.

Like, when did you have the RAI?

Why are you on the USA product Synthroid?

Blood test results.

There are quite a number of people who have experience but without understanding your situation more fully they might not respond.

Rai was beginning oct. for graves disease and not being able to take the anti thyroid drug. Felt fine but after a few weeks had some side effects. Felt like had the flu. Then took 50mcg per day and 1/2 25 toporl for breathlessness. Felt racy last week and reduced synthroid to 1/2 50mcg. I still need the beta blocker....heart palp still exist if I don't take beta blocker. When would I cut that out. Is 1/2 50 mcg a low enough dose? Would I ever be able to stop dose? I have water retention. What's that from?

Hypo or hyper?

Palpitations can be a symptom of too little thyroid hormone, and so can fluid retention (although both can occur with too much thyroid hormone as well). Beta blockers inhibit the conversion of T4 to T3, so taking those when you are on thyroid hormone replacement is likely to be counter productive.

You need to quote your thyroid blood test results for any useful evaluation of your dose of levothyroxine.

The medicine names you mention suggest you are in the USA? This is a UK based support group, and whilst thyroid problems are universal and not country dependent, medicine brand names, prescribing methods and test ranges can vary dramatically.
