Prednisolone.. ventolin with symbicort.
My condition has worsen over the last few years and I for some time been taking Ventolin 10 or so minutes before taking
Symbicort
, l believe it helps open the lungs so the Symbiort works better.

Symbicort 100/6 to 200/6
So the asthma nurse has now suggested trying increasing my
Symbicort
from the 100/6 (I take 2 puffs morning and night) to the 200/6. Is this likely to make any particular difference?

Side effects Symbicort?
I was started on
Symbicort
recently as my asthma had flared up but I'm noticing an unpleasant symptom a bit like a viral sore throat - pain on swallowing. I notice throat irritation is a common side effect of
symbicort
.

trimbow in asthma
Just started on trimbow after using Spiriva Respimat and
Symbicort
, and the steroid component is just not enough to keep my asthma under control. Has anyone ever used it together with fostair or
symbicort
? I know one isn't supposed to but maybe some consultants prescribe two steroid inhalers?

New inhaler
I'm being trialled on
Symbicort
MART rather than the fluticasone and salbutamol I'm currently using. Has anyone any experience of this and did they find it effective? I'm open to the idea, though a little worried, as I know salbutamol works when I need it.

Severe SOB
It is consistently 600/650 before and after taking
Symbicort
. Is that normal? However, despite the peak flow reading the
Symbicort
inhaler isn't working or relieving the SOB. I'm really confused! If I bend to tie shoelaces I cant breathe at all.

eosinophils, cough, alopecia
I was given
Symbicort
and Alvesco inhaler but did not help. So suffering for good 6months, I was referred to pulmonary dept and there I asked to get bronchoscopy. I was diagnose with eosinophils pneumonia and put on taking steroids - prednisone.

peak flow is okay but struggling to breathe
My best is 550 on
Symbicort
plus Spiriva and I find that the peak flow doesn't drop below 470-500 even if I struggle to breathe with tight and burning chest? Sometimes even with confirmed chest infection and wheeze across chest as per stethoscope my peak flow sits at 500. Anyone else knows why?

Why are relievers standard with preventers.
Hi,I was wondering why it seems that we are given
symbicort
or fostair to take every morning and night regardless of wether we need a reliever at that time or not. It's my understanding that taking relievers all the time can harm the lungs?

I was on
symbicort
morning and night and then salbutamol as needed, however the past two weeks my asthma has flared up resulting in prednisone for 5 days (which ended the same day I got switched to fostair) I got switched to fostair 100/6 on the mart scheme , I’ve been using fostair for 4 days now
