Osteoporosis risk or Cardiac risk?
I was unable to be prescribed Alendronic Acid and have been taking
Strontium
Ranelate
from the start, though I misguidedly gave myself a break for a few months. A Dexa scan revealed a degree of osteoporosis in the neck of my left femur (the right one is already a prosthesis).

Dropping
Dexa scan showed some thinning of the top of the left femur - an extra incentive to be very careful on ice and slush; and a reminder to be good and take my
strontium
ranelate
every night. My calcium tablets (ADcal) has a hefty dose of Vit D so that should compensate for the lack of sunlight.
