degenerate spine pain and steroids
a simple question that’s in my mind, but hubby with chronic pain (either arthritis in the hip and/or pain from his degenerative spine) I just wonder why Prednisolone isn’t offered as a pain relief med?

stopping steroids
I have been on 1mg prednisolone for three months now. Advice would be nice from you the people who have helped me through these last six years. I am quite happy to continue to take the 1 mg but what are the chances of me stopping the pred and having to go back up to a higher dose? Thank you for any

Also said I didn’t need to add more
steroids
as my body would have absorbed them anyway. Taken a stool sample to check for any infection. What should I do? Light headed, weak and feel awful. He also said
steroids
could have caused diverticulitis.

GCA and PMR
I’m worried sick about taking so many
steroids
just wondered if anyone else has been in this situation. I’ve also been signed off work for a month and I’m sure my boss doesn’t believe there’s anything wrong with me.

Reducing steroids and adrenal symptoms
I’ve recently experienced symptoms which made me think of Pred-induced diabetes. In particular, my metabolism does not seem to adjust properly to food, with post-prandial dips and especially waking up at 3-4am with uncomfortable overheating. But my HbA1c measurement remains around 41, which is just

GCA..Actemra.
I have been off the
steroids
5 weeks now and up until last week felt much better (
steroids
mess with my head) Now however I am experiencing a fatigue that I have never had before and taking headaches often. Is this normal during the first few months of taking Actemra?

The ‘100 day cough’ - possible use of steroids
I’ve asked the GP whether I should take
steroids
short term, but the Dr said no. I have a supply of
steroids
in one of the drawers, quite a few in date. I’m tempted to try 5mg/day for a week or ten days, but on the other hand I could upset my adrenal recovery after four years of steroid use.

I’ve just been diagnosed with PMR and am on my first week of

Hi everyone, I have been sent a prescription by my Rheumatologist for six weeks
Steroids
and to start Azathioprine. I have no instructions just to get a set of bloods taken. My question is, do you keep taking the Colchiccine with the Azathioprine? Thank you

Persistent trace/low level protein in urine
I also have high BP and heart rate - which is put down to
steroids
, was normal before I started prednisolone. On the plus side I started methotrexate injections 6 weeks ago and have significantly less pain - like a lot less!! Hoping this means I can finally get off

I do get perfect relief from the

Brief story
pain began 9/22 considered to be PMR then inflammatory arthritis; 30MG
steroids
worked initially then when reducing went on to methotrexate which didn’t work. Rheumatology now consider I don’t have PMR or arthritis and are referring me to pain management. A very bad spell over last 3 days.
