Dark red/purplish marks on skin
Hes on apixaban blood thinner, bisoprol beta blockers, ramipril 1 25 every night,
statins
, and blood presssure tablets. Hes started getting dark red circular marks on his arms and near his wrist. They aren't itchy or anything. Has anyone experienced anything like these please? Any info welcome.

Unblocking Mild Atherosclerosis with Meds
I was prescribed Isosorbide Mononitrate for my Angina issues but nothing new for dissipating the Atheroma, so I'm guessing he is relying on my
Statins
to do that.

To statin, or not to statin...creatine kinase and lp/a levels normal
So, my question is does anyone think I would be silly to reject the doctor's advice and refuse
statins
, or should I just do as I'm told and risk potential side effects? Thank you in advance

"Is antidyslipidemic statin use for cancer prevention a promising drug repositioning approach?"
It is becoming increasingly clear that
statins
(currently used for treating dyslipidemia) can be effective in the prevention of coronary disease, heart failure, and arrhythmia.

Coronary artery spasm?
and my cardiologist has basically said I would be stupid to come of
statins
or I would be back in hospital within a year...hence my lipid test being ordered to see my cholesterol score...Will update you all on that soon.

Taking Folic Acid and Vitamin D3 with Oatmeal ?
I do this because I have high cholesterol and GP put me on
statins
but I don’t take
statins
because adjusting my diet and especially having Oatmeal works very well and lowers the cholesterol so I never take
statins
.

Reference ranges for blood levels versus symptoms
I was prescribed
Statins
without having seen the G.P and without a current TSH. Apparently
Statins
are not well tolerated with Hypothyroidism and due to multiple allergies I declined them. I have been given oral iron as the ferritin was 22.

Help narrowing down NYC oncologists
Charles Myers and long story short: he's been <0.006 for two years now, while continuing on Lupron+Avodart+Zytiga+Metformin+
Statins
+Xgeva. SIde effects are no joke, but overall he's glad to be where he is, and hopes this protocol will keep working for a bit more.

CoQ10: Miracle Supplement or Waste of Money?
A randomized trial followed 120 patients taking
statins
for high cholesterol. Muscle pain was confirmed in just over a third of the patients (by comparing muscle pain associated with the statin use with muscle pain associated with a placebo drug).

Also my cholesterol has dropped from 6.8 to 4.5 with the
statins
. I’m keeping a positive approach to my condition and that is helping tremendously ❤️

Neurological issues/underactive thyroid link?
I refused to take
statins
or even aspirin (as I had a bad reaction to it). The neurologists revised this diagnosis to potential MS, as I am weaker on one side than the other, have shaking of one leg and had a slight stumble when walking.

If you ever have doubts...
My doctor is gradually taking me off all the meds- diuretics and
statins
have gone. I recommend that you watch the film "Forks Over Knives". It is on Netflix and YouTube. It is about global medical health research and the findings, including a massive study of 800,000 Chinese people.

Statins anti inflammatory effect on arthritis?
After googling Lipitor and reading about anti inflammatory effects of
statins
, I think I disagree. Anyone else here have any similar experience with statin drugs? It feels so great to be able to walk a mile or two pain free now💜

More Info For Those Who Like Learning New Things....
When I don't add these 2 things I start feeling worse right away....I would also like to address whoever's taking
Statins
for cholesterol. Statistically speaking,
Statins
reduce your chance of having a heart attack from high cholesterol ever so slightly (3 to 4%).
