He asked if I was on
statins
, starting them later in the week. He said ideally I would like to send you to Neurology but there is about a 12 month wait, no surprise there then. I said I’m happy to pay, to which he replied, I’m going to refer you to the older persons department!

stubborn hypertension
Then put on
statins
and clopidogril and an increase of Ramipril and new med Felodopine as BP had increased. Still trying to get it down under 140/90, nearly there, losing a stone and a half helped. Should do more exercise. Hoping for better results next week when it is checked.

Reducing cholesterol
I’ve been told I can have
statins
, which I agreed to take, with much regret, because they are powerful drugs and I’m already taking Warfarin and Bisoprolol, and
statins
do have an effect on these.

Atorvastatin triggering AF?
I know there's a lot on
statins
on here but I haven't seen anyone actually make a possible association between AF and
statins
. Thanks for any information.

Atorvastatin + Asprin
I completed my first week of
Statins
and Asprin, and I have to say I feel awful. I am getting an array of side effects. I'm sure some of you had this but I wanted to know do these calm down as your body adjusts or is it wise to call my doctor Monday and ask for a change.

Interesting study on combination of statins and metformin in high-risk patient outcomes
I'd been on
statins
forever (hyperlipidemia), but added metformin when the rumor went around (Snuffy Myers I believe) that it did good things for PCa patients.

Why would my FT4 change?
I have been asked to come in and discuss my blood results with the GP, my cholesterol is also elevated but I do not want to take
statins
. My FT4 was 10 and I am taking 120mg a day of NDT, they did not measure TSH. What is an "ideal" FT4 level whilst on medication. Thanks D

Interaction between aspirin and pred.
The doctor also prescribed
statins
, glyceryl nitrate spray and aspirin. Although it's not listed specifically Corticosteroids are mentioned as a medicine that the aspirin may affect. Does anyone have any experience of this or have any knowledge what the effect could be.

Statins and muscle damage.
can someone furnish me with some evidence eg studies or scientific paper which shows conclusively that
statins
cause muscle damage, particularly in thyroid sufferers.

Safe and useful to take K2 MK7 after stent and under clopidogrel ??
+ 80mg
statins
+ asaflow + ramipril... I'm looking for something else, to treat the cause and not only the symptoms of calcification. I've read positive accounts and testimonies of people on vitamin K2 but is it safe in my case?
