4th Covid vaccine??
I went on
statins
in June & had 2nd & 3rd vvaccination(Oct). Felt worse than ever after 3rd vac. Scary. Really bad chest, heart, pseudomonas etc. Overall, a bad year. Much improved as 2022 progressed. Heart fine now! Had Covid in April, like a mild flu.

One Dr wanted to refer me to the Cardiologist as I have a very low resting heart rate (Cardiologist said he wasn't worried based on the 24 hour monitoring), I was put on
statins
for high Cholesteral.

Can medication be reduced after a certain time with no problems?
I will continue with the
Statins
as I have no side effects and I believe the long term benefits can be significant. Has anybody discussed reducing meds with their cardiologists, especially Flec, and what is their experience?

Some drugs including
statins
, may inhibit endogenous CoQ10 synthesis. There are also chronic diseases with lower levels of CoQ10 in tissues and organs. High doses of CoQ10 may increase both circulating and intracellular levels, but there are conflicting results regarding bioavailability.

Cholesterol and Low T3
It’s just so scary and frustrating because I really don’t want to be forced onto
Statins
if as I suspect my T3 is low (which it has been on a private test in the past). Would love to hear how others have managed to get the T3 they need in the UK?

Alarming Fibroscan Results out of the blue.
She is an active, healthy, slim 70 year old with no health issues apart from raised cholesterol for which she takes
statins
. She drinks 2 bottles of wine per week with breaks in between. She has an appointment with her GP next week with a view to having further tests carried out.

STATINS
I know that several people take
statins
. I thought you may be interested in New European Guidelines which ‘Drastically’ reduce statin eligibility. In fact they essentially “eliminate a statin indication in women.” https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/976715?

CAD - how should it be monitored?
He has had 2 stress tests in the 6 years since diagnosis which have been normal and he is on
statins
, anti hypertensives and aspirin. On diagnosis his cardiologist told him he just needed to make a few lifestyle changes which he has not done and says he will be motivated once he needs surgery…..

Bempedoic Acid
It has been suggested that I start taking Bempedoic acid (Nustendi) tablets in addition to Ezetimbe - (which I have been taking for years) - as I have Familial Hypercholesterolaemia and am unable to tolerate
Statins
. I am just awaiting results of blood tests before I start the drug.

Statins and side effects
This report has made me rethink whether I should start again and make absolutely certain that the pain is caused by the
statins
and not by other things such as diet, foodstuffs, drink, other pills, exercise etc. or even a mental block!

I'm trying to have a baby as it maybe my last chance.
I was put on
statins
to lower my cholesterol. It was recommended by the doctors to try for a baby due to the
statins
. My partner wasn't kin for a baby due not wanting me to come off the
statins
, being at risk of a heart attack and a stroke.
