Geranylgeraniol (GG), Tocotrienols, Ubiquinol (CoQ10), & statins and their relationship w/ lipids, heart health and APC patient treatments.
The biq question, as I see it, is "what causes
statins
to slow prostate cancer growth/increase CSS mortality?" Is it the direct action of the statin on the cancer, or the effect of the statin lowering cholesterol, which causes the slowing of the cancer?

very high cholesterol & blood pressure
I really really do not want to go in to
statins
. I’ve got an under active thyroid which I take levothyroxine for. I eat healthy, don’t drink excessively (currently haven’t had a drink for a month). I need to exercise more and I’m also about 20 pounds overweight.

Plaque reversal
I read that
statins
reverses arterial plaque. Is that true? I also saw that Berberine reverses plaque too: https://youtu.be/ZRArHoZueEI This all sounds pretty simply and would stop many heart attacks (assuming also diet and exercise)

Blood results following increase in Levothyroxine dose
GP wanted to try increasing Levothyroxine dose before recommending
statins
. I commenced 50mg. Today I had a repeat blood test. The lipids, cholesterol result I don't have yet but TSH reduced to 4.12 and Free Thyroxine 14.8. I believe this brings my TSH just within normal range.

Rosuvatatin fatigue

Statins - effects on RLS
My doctors surgery has just put me on
statins
and RLS has begun to creep into my life again. Would anyone be able to confirm that the
statins
are causing this?

Are statins essential if you are suffering from AF and/or past strokes? And how much is 'good'?
Just seeking some views on what constitutes the 'correct' level of
statins
to take in various situations. I have been taking 10 mg of simvastatine for six months and found this is no problem for me and it has marginally reduced what was a very low LDL cholesterol level in the first place.

Minoxidil
I have given up HRT, SSRIs,
statins
, caffeine, alcohol, spicy foods (I used to put fresh jalapeno peppers on EVERYTHING), sugar, all processed foods, most carbs, and the list goes on. I basically stopped having fun. Now for my question. I have a genetic issue with my hair.

Don't Delay Too Long
The consultant has put them on BP medication,
statins
(total cholesterol >6) and may also start treatment for Type II diabetes (HbA1c has been in pre-diabetic range for many years).

Jobst Elvarex made to measure knee length socks
My local pharmacy can take an age with normal repeat medication, like
statins
and anticoagulants, so I'm wondering where the delay is. What is other people's experience of this?

Advice on subclinical hypothyroidism
Other factors - I'm on HRT, have high blood pressure which is medicated to normal levels & Dr has raised some concerns over cholesterol levels though no
statins
prescribed. Feel a little bit at sea and want to have a clear idea of what a good outcome would be for my discussion with the GP.

Anyone on anything a bit unusual and helpful? Any off-label or off-patent drugs?
I was reading a book about cancer and the common re-use of older drugs and off-label prescriptions to create a treatment stack (such as using
statins
, H2blockers, metformin etc) and it made me think hmm afib is also often a complex situation.

Hypothyroidism, Lupus and high cholesterol
My doctor has put me on
statins
which I am reluctant to start. If I can manage whatever condition naturally I will give it a go. I have given myself three months to try and settle my cholesterol with diet and if it is still high will have to go statin way. Any thoughts?

Link twixt Levo dosage and cholesterol
I do not want to take
Statins
and now feel there is hope. Encouraging - high cholesterol = longer life span
Statins
can lead to shorter life span. Hmm - now to convince the GP. :-)

Under-active Thyroid & High Cholesterol
The GP (well pharmacist) is saying I need to go on to
statins
but I am very reluctant to do so. Hate taking medication unless absolutely essential. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
