ļ»æspironolactone for gas diffusion
ļ»æjust want to know if spironolactone can help with gas diffusion from the lungs to the blood supply. it has worked quite well on my blood pressure. But it was a recommendation to improve exercise tolerance as well. Just wondering if this has helped others.

Starting Entresto with Low Blood-Pressure
Hi all - My Dad (88) has recently been diagnosed with Heart Failure (HF) with an Ejection Fraction of 15-20% (so reasonably severe). He also generally has low BP (c.95-105/50-55). He's coped with the first-diagnosed diuretics (Furosemide (now stopped), Spironolactone and Dapagflozin) , but is now struggling

Water tablets and Heatwave.
Part of my daily meds are the water tablets spironolactone 25mg and Furosemide 40mg, in this sweltering heatwave I wonder what others on similar meds are doing with regards to drinking plenty of fluids. :-)

Baffled
I have pulled back from level 4 cirrhosis with ascites and jaundice as well as two bad bleeds and was doing well. I then developed a pregnant stomach again ( I'm 60) drumlike, tight, uncomfortable so I assumed ascites and resumed spironolactone. No effect. Had a US scan on Monday- no fluid found! Has

Oh yea, nothing to do with the furosemide and Spirolactone I am on then. No request to see me to discuss as they have a Fort Knox policy and

high potassium levels/hyperkamedia
Hi all has anyone experienced high potassium levels, a condition they call hyperkamedia. I have cirrhosis and I was waiting for the results of my latest LFT. My consultant phoned and said that, while most of my results were stable, my potassium level was dangerously high at 6. They stopped my spironolactone

How often are meds reviewed by GP or Cardiologist.
I have been on the same medication since Feb 2020, never the doses or my case reviewed with the exception of an appointment with a Cardiologist in July 2020. Dealing with my GP surgery and getting any response from them is hard work, however and before contacting them I wanted to check with others how

Spironolactone Side Effects
A couple days ago there was a discussion about severe leg swelling due to heart failure. Several of you mentioned better results with Spironolactone than you had with Lasix. I plan to talk to my Dr about it. But can those of you using Spironolactone please let me know about any side effects or problems
