I have pulled back from level 4 cirrhosis with ascites and jaundice as well as two bad bleeds and was doing well. I then developed a pregnant stomach again ( I'm 60) drumlike, tight, uncomfortable so I assumed ascites and resumed spironolactone. No effect. Had a US scan on Monday- no fluid found! Has anyone else experienced this? Wendy

Hi Wendy! Hope that you are feeling better now. Did you find out the reason for your belly swelling?

Not yet but it is going down very slowly without diuretics

But I thought that you had an ultrasound which confirmed no fluids ?

Yes, hence why I still don't know what was causing it!
