Any advice greatly appreciatedš
Apologies for the long post. Hope everyone had a good Christmas and best wishes for a happy & healthy New Year head. Has anyone undertaken a three week residential pain management course in Bath? Am I right in thinking that it is primarily physio and psychology based and is there any medication input

Iām still trying to wrap my head around my current situation, so please forgive me if Iāll repeat what was discussed in my previous posts. Just to reiterate: in September my 6-month PET scan showed stable disease. 10 days later, the routine spine MRI indicated new spinal cord edema from T3-T4 to T9

Calmare Therapy/Scrambler Therapy
Has anyone tried Calmare or Scrambler Therapy for Neuropathic nerve pain post surgery after having a spinal fusion carried out for scoliosis? Been reading about it online, not available in the UK but it is in Ireland, Italy and the US.

How do you manage?
Living w/chronic pain most of my life. Opioids don't work for me, spinal cord stimulator helps. Exercise + mindfulness help also. I have use of a pool twice-weekly but must use rollator to help me walk. Pain care is mostly private and restricted in ROI, so very expensive! What access do you have to help

Cortisol blood test
Hi again, please excuse my apparent ignorance, probably brought about due to poor or insufficient advice from the Medical profession. I have two questions: I have been told by my GP to have a Cortisol blood test. The only information given to me is to have it done at 9 am. I asked him if I should stop

SURGERY?
I am facing a full spinal fusion mainly due to double Scoliosis with Cobb angles of 38.4 degrees. I had a C2 through T4 fusion in Dec. 2014. Due to the Scoliosis, I am having significantly more general pain, especially in my neck and Sciatica in my right leg hip joint ("electric shocks"). Then radiated

Follow up on leg pain -- Spinal Surgery?
Thanks to all who suggested I see an ortho to rule out spine issues. Turns out that at L4/L5 I have pretty severe spinal stenosis. The ortho thinks surgery is my best option, as other options would give me short lived or incomplete relief. I'm inclined to agree, since I'm still fairly young (64) and

Likely final posting
A few days ago posted was entering hospice, below is a letter sent to friends and family. In my situation looks PC will not be fatal, but another disease. In my situation there is no medical cure but only the peace the Lord can, has, and will provide. Please no judgements or 'fixit" ideas, instead

Anterior Spinal Fusion means I can no longer sit upright due to severe pain in my SI Joints/Sit bones. Anyone else had the same happen?
I had a 2 level (L4 /L5 & L5/S1) Posterior Fusion revised in 2017. Plus an additional Anterior Fusion at the same level. Now, 4 years later I am unable to sit upright. Not even in bed. Eating or movement in my lower abdomen also causes a great deal of pain in my SI Joints, groin, and thighs. I'd be

Shrinking??
Hello mighty warriors!! Just wondering if anyone who has mets to spine has lost their height?? I had spinal surgery in August of 2020 due to a tumor that was crushing two of my vertebraes. My bones were to weak for rods so the dr basically removed the tumor and the crushed bones. I have to wear a brace
