Orgovyx Insurance Approval
Anyone who is not on Medicare but relying on private insurance in getting approval for Orgovyx? I really want to avoid Lupron or Eligard since I take two blood pressure meds, one statin and Metformin for type 2 diabetes already. Plus, I have heard nothing but bad things about both. Yes, I realize

Unexpected Dive in PSA
Was diagnosed with Gleason 7 (4+3) in June. PSA was initially 19.76 in April, went up to 21.78 in May to confirm first high PSA, retested again in August at 19.39. Started taking Orgovyx on 9/11 and began IMRT (37 fractions, 70-78gy to prostate, SIB boost to 85-90gy) on 9/28. Had my PSA checked again

Hello People With Parkinson's (PWP). I started this post two weeks ago. It wasn't worth the effort so I deleted it. I was hurting at the tim, my levodopa tank was running on fumes. I reminded myself that if I couldn't be cured I would try to make it easier for the next person. I am in my

HRT question.
Hi, I’m been on HRT for about 5 weeks now but my anxiety has just got worse. I’m having hot flashes today too, i feel my head is about to explode. Shouldn’t I be feeling a little bit better by now or is it too soon. Any thoughts please?

Hot flushes and night sweats
Hi everyone I would like some advice please. I had been in HRT for 22 years (implants) but when I moved 8 years ago I couldn’t find a gynaecologist to do implants so I decided to stop using HRT. All was fine for 4/5years then I suddenly start having flushes during the day and night sweats which have

Any post-menopausal women out there? My symptoms of ADD -for me it’s really MDD motivation deficit disorder, have gotten much worse over the past couple of years. I am looking to go on Hormone Replacement Therapy- was wondering if anyone has experienced this and did it help?

MRI-Guided ViewRay for Salvage Radiation
Looks like I'll be soon heading for 6-7 weeks of IMRT salvage radiation. Has anyone been treated or aware if MRI-guided linacs such as the Mridian Viewray offer an advantage over CT-guided ones when it comes to post-op salvage radiation? With prostate gone, it seems a higher portion of the bladder and

Ten Months After All Treatments Ended
My Oncologist stopped my Eligard injections in October of 2022. My August 2023 bloodwork shows that my testosterone has risen from 2.0 to 10.0 in that time. My PSA was <0.1 ten months ago and is now 0.1 (Canadian units). I know that this cancer is a long game, but given my diagnosis in 2020, I am happy

RLS and HRT
I’ve always suffered mild rls in the evenings but some leg lifts and going to sleep stopped it , last few months it’s severe , I was up every half hour all last night walking the floors with restless legs , arms and stomach , my mind going haywire 🥴I think it could be linked to HRT and menopause but

... what, then, do we die of?
New study of SEER data below [1]. The old comforting words that men with PCa "die with the disease, not of it" does not apply once mets occur, of course, but is largely true for local disease (the majority of cases in the U.S., due to screening practices.) It has long been known that men with PCa

how fit can one be on ADT and abiraterone?
I have been on Lupron and abiraterone for less than two months and I have gone from doing 50 consecutive push ips to 10. I am slim on KETO diet but am disenchanted with the lack of ability to maintain any muscle. How much strength can be maintained on these meds?

I'm so frustrated with my GP!
As per the title really! I'm incredibly frustrated, and frankly angry, with the standard of care - or rather the lack thereof - that I've received from my local surgery. I initially went to the doctor 18 months or so ago complaining of feeling constantly exhausted, gaining weight, and struggling to

SBRT alternative
So I've been trying to decide on what treatment I wanted to do and finally decided that I'd go with SBRT. Well unfortunately the MRIdian SBRT is going away at the end of the month. I reached out to Dr. Kishan to verify and this was the response "Unfortunately that is likely correct. We will be doing

Started MRI Guided SBRT at MSK
After 2.5 years on active surveillance with Dr. Ehdaie at Memorial Sloan Kettering, my cancer progressed to GL 4+3 (Unfavorable Intermediate Risk) and I needed definitive treatment. I opted for MRI guided SBRT with Dr. Sean McBride after getting a second opinion from Dr. Kishan at UCLA. I started

Need help in understanding PSA level recurrence after treatment.
In May 2023 I completed what the doctor hope would be a curative treatment of 38 sessions of radiotherapy accompanied by 2.25 years on Lupron + Zytiga. During that treatment, my PSA fell to < 0.01 and remained there until the end of the treatment. I had a blood test taken last Friday and it shows that
