Sovaldi

My father was diagnosed with hepatitis C almost 8 years ago we don't know how long he was suffering from hepatitis C He did sovaldi course . Now he is showing symptoms of acute on chronic hepatitis . Can anyone guide me well in this regards 1. Will he recover from acute hepatitis ? 2.

I was diagnosed with type 2 and was put on a course of Sovaldi and Ribiviron. I think it was a faidly new drug and was warned that it could make me feel down whilst taking it. I'm just writing this because yesterday I was told that I am now Hep C.

The dr did a full blood work up and my Hepatitis has been undetectable for a couple of years after taking Sovaldi, ribavirin and the new blood work shows reactive .

A doctor prescribed Sovaldi and Ribavirin and it cured my HEP-C but during the course I discovered Ribavirin is not to be given to late stage liver disease patients because it destroys the healthy liver tissue also and when I began the course of drugs the doctor lied and said I was stage 3&1/2-4 in Cirrhosis

Recently achieved SVR after being treated with Sovaldi and I feel very lucky. At my next appt. I saw a doctor who after reading my fibroscan score - 12.5 announced that I needed an endoscopy as I was very likely to have varices! She ruined my positive news by scaring me half to death!

It looks as though the Sovaldi treatment has cured the hep c thank God. My fibroscan prior to treatment was 21. The fibroscan yesterday was 12.2. Do I have cirrhosis?

Just had first blood results after two weeks of Sovaldi and Ribavirin and Viral load is NON DETECTED!! Alt 300 down to 141 Ast 195 down to 86 Gamma 131 down to 81 Treatment working!!!

It's a 12 week course of Ribaviran and Sovaldi. It seems I was "lucky" that my fibroscan showed F4 as it put me up the list for NHS treatment. I did a lot of research online following my diagnosis and found a lot out from forums like this.

I then was told of new trial drugs with ribavrin, sovaldi & daklinza. I believe this is what cured Pamela Anderson.

So, my flare ups (assumed to be hep c ) were managed with pain pills and finally in 2014, I rid myself of hep c 3 with Sovaldi and Ribivirin.  But I still had the flare ups!?  So, I changed family physicians and began again trying to figure out pain and they did an ANA and it shows 1.160 Speckled. 

Is there anyone that is being treated with Sovaldi?

I'm wondering if anyone is on or is considering treatment Sovaldi? LOL I'm not sure if I have this site figured out and may have posted this already...if I have please forgive :)

Wendy continued therapy and a 3rd attempt with sovaldi and ribavirin was successful. Unfortunately, with 35 years of hep C, her liver was cirrhotic. She now needs a live donor for a transplant. Wendy’s liver specialist encourages a live donation.
