Hi hope someone can help. It looks as though the Sovaldi treatment has cured the hep c thank God. My fibroscan prior to treatment was 21. The fibroscan yesterday was 12.2. Do I have cirrhosis?

I am week 9 into solvadi and ribavirin, HCV non detected and all liver markers are almost normal now. My fibroscan was 21 before treatment but wasn't expecting a drop in my fibroscan for 2 reasons.

1) i was told the cirrhosis isnt always reversiable

2) its not the most reliable test and can change from day to day

If yours had dropped to 12 thats fantastic and gives me positive hope that maybe mine will too. From what i can remember 12.2 is still high enough on the scale but its still amazing.

Hi Hun yes it is amazing! The doctor told me that you can get a higher reading prior to treatment because of the inflammation and that they often get even bigger drops than mine after treatment. I know it's no party on treatment sweetheart but keep going and take heart - those Sovaldi bullets work!!! xxx
