Acute on chronic hepatitis

My father was diagnosed with hepatitis C almost 8 years ago we don't know how long he was suffering from hepatitis C

He did sovaldi course .

Now he is showing symptoms of acute on chronic hepatitis .

Can anyone guide me well in this regards

1. Will he recover from acute hepatitis ?

2. What is the survival chance in this stage ?

I feel I may have replied already but. HCV he's 2 Stages, acute is from infection to 24 weeks after and chronic after 24 weeks post infection. 20-25% clear inside 6 mths. after med trtmt is required. There is NO natural cure.
