Intense pain in arms that is unbearable at night is this connected to AFiB?

Sotalol AF
I have read on a US web site that Sotalol AF is specifically for people with AF and is not interchangeable with Sotalol. Does anyone know why Sotalol AF is not available in the UK?

Sotalol
I had an ablation in October 2016 which was successful until I had a mastectomy in January 2018 when I went into AF. Since then I have had a few episodes of AF which seem to be getting more frequent and lasting longer. I have recently seen a couple of Consultants privately and both are suggesting

Levothyroxine and Atorvastatin
Can anyone tell me if there is any interaction between Levothyroxine & atorvastatin. My 76 year old mum had been on Levothyroxine for over 25 years at 75mg and has been fine. Her cholesterol was high a few years ago and they put her on Atorvastatin. She showed symptoms of her thyroid medication not

HELP. My AF has returned with a vengeance. it was diagnosed approx 3 years ago. I was prescribed Amiodarone and placed on a list for a cardioversion. Just before the cardioverion the Amiodarone I had been taking for 6 weeks kicked in and I returned to NSR and the CV was cancelled. The Amiodarone worked

Switching from Sotalol to Flecainide and Digoxin
The consultant I saw at St Barts said that I should switch from Sotalol to Flecainide (I don’t know what the dose is- the prescription just says “as directed by cardiology”; the tablet strength is 50mg) and digoxin 125mg once a day. I am rather apprehensive about this. This was in response to my saying

High temperature
Hi all. I was diagnosed with PAF last July. Since then I have been on Sotalol which was replaced by Bisopralol and Flecainide. I have been experiencing periods of ectopic beats since the change. I don’t tolerate beta blockers very well. Two days ago I started a head cold and my temperature has been

Breathless
I have had AF for 23 yrs. I have taken various beta blockers such as Sotalol, bisoprolol and am now on Nebivolol 2.5 mg which I split. I have a pacemaker too. But I get so breathless I cannot go for a walk. I also have Angina. My question is there anything that could alleviate me of my breathlessness

Are beta blockers prescribed in paroxysmal AF without proper consideration?
NICE guidelines recommend beta blockers other than sotalol for rate control, as regular ongoing treatment. I see the logic of giving them for frequent episodes of symptomatic adrenergic type AF (precipitated by anxiety, stress and exercise) with high heart rates. Also in combination with Flecainide

Ablation assessment at St Barts
I had my ablation assessment at St Barts and it has been proposed that I have an ablation in around 6 months. The EP I saw was very good and provided lots of information about the procedure and AF generally. There are a couple of points in this post which might be of interest to those with AF generally

Tomorrow is 14 weeks post ablation
Except for my crazy afib episode that happened 3 days after my ablation, I’m happy to report that I’m doing well. I had a 1 minute episode confirmed by my Kardia device, about 4 weeks ago. I had another one last night, literally 10 seconds long, where my heart went out of wack. Both times I was at my

Should I go ahead with ablation
I have been having af for about 2 years now with each episode getting wrose than the previous one. I started to get them every three months. I went into hospital last August for 3 days and they put me on to another tablet Digoxin. I was already taking apixaban and sotalol. Since then I have not had any

Too slow?
Since my dose of Sotalol has been upped from 2x40 to 2x60 mg per day my heart has slowed down to about 50-55 during the day but has been as low as 47 in the late evening after taking a dose of Sotalol and about 49 when I wake up (so it may be very slow when I am asleep). My GP thinks below 50 is too

Omacor
I have been taking high strength Omacor capsules for a decade having been prescribed them on the NHS by my cardiologist for chronic high tryglycerides . Now the inappropriately named NICE has prohibited them and I've been told if I want them I'll have to buy them at £600 a year. If they are now adjudged

Update
Thanks to all those who replied to my “having a grim time of things”. Basically, the upshot is that I had my fastest PAF episode yesterday morning at 153 (I know that’s small beer to some folk here), was taken to A and E *again* but this time admitted to the Acute Cardiac Ward where I have been overnight

Introduction
Hello folks, I am new here and first post. I have had atrial tachycardia and AVNRT going back to 1990. Had two ablations in the mid 90s when they first started doing them which helped but didn't cure me. I have been taking Sotalol ever since with no problems and led a full, happy life. I was told that
