Not medically trained Peaches but as I understand, the criteria for determining the need to take an anticoagulant is governed by your CHADsVASC score (google it) and not by any medication you might be taking. I suggest you discuss with your doctor as the consequences for not taking them when you should can be very serious......

Sotalol is seldom used here in UK for AF control but if you have AF then anticoagulation if often recommended dependent on your other risk factors CHADSVASC is teh system of scoring which you can loook up either on AF association website or google it.

What rate or rhythm control drugs you may be on are irrelevant

I'm on 40mg Sotalol BID and two baby aspirin daily. Two years next month. Dx SVT.

I take both sotalol and warfarin-hve done forsome yers-no obvious problems.
