Low sodium diet
Hi everyone!I am here, on this forum for my husband's CKD/proteinuria (all unexplained- kidney biopsy was "normal" as well as his genetic test). Anyway, his Nephrologist put him on low sodium November 30th. I went on it with him and haven't had a migraine since! So for those of you who are supporting

Thyroid Panel Questions
Hi! I have been perusing the posts here, you seem to be a knowledgable group, I am hoping you might be able to help shed some light on what my hormones and endocrine system is UP to! I don't want to overwhelm with too much history, so I will try and cut to the chase. For a number of years I took a T3

Joint pain.
Does anyone have a suggestion for joint pain? My husband has had prostate removed 2017, on Xtandi for 15 months, then Chemo, now on his 2nd cycle out of 6 of Radium 223. He has about once a week, severe joint pain in his knee. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Tall Allen, look forward to hearing

Stopping Firmagon if castration resistant
The cocktail of painkillers plus Radium 223 is making me very tired at the moment. This may seem like a daft question but what is the position with continuing or stopping Firmagon when you're castration resistant? Is its purpose to control the spread of testosterone that would otherwise make the cancer

Thyroid or Pituitary Problem?
Sorry in advance for the long essay! Desperatly hoping for some advice. I am a 30-year-old female suffering fatigue, brain fog & migraine with visual disturbances since July 2020, therefore I stopped the COCP after a 10-year use (which was prescribed for the management of menorrhagia). Since stopping

Sterile until opened.I had several boxes over from last year. I feel such an idiot. It never occurred to me to check

Hi everyone.. sorry I know I am a broken record on here! But can anyone tell me their thoughts on this please.. Had a stressful week in court with work last week. good blood test results
I was dreading these last blood tests as I’d been not feeling 100% of late for no particular reason. However: I was over the moon to learn that my bloods were ‘normal’. Kidney function even better: sodium going in the right direction and ferritin serum level significantly improved. just one fly

Dietary restrictions and the workplace...
Hi all,I am wondering what your experiences with working and your diet? My department got rewarded with a pizza party. I requested a salad to accommodate low sodium diet. I was told no special treatment. Won't be showing up to that lunch despite being the team lead. Thoughts? Am I being the unreasonable

Radium 223 and (AdcalD3) calcium supplements
Hi I was hoping for some clarity here as I've been getting different advice in the UK. I think the advice is to keep off the calcium supplements 7 days before a Ra 223 injection and then return to the tablets a few days after. Similarly my Zometa (Zoledronic Acid )injection should be timed so it

bowels
hi there, my mums bowels are now very sensitive. Would anyone have any recommendations on how to help stool to be firm, rather than Imodium as I can’t imagine that can be taken on a daily basis?
