Any Strategies For Controlling Blood Sugar While Taking Thyroid Meds
I am not a diabetic. Before having my thyroidectomy my glucose levels never rose above 82. Controlling by morning blood sugars have been especially difficult, maybe due to taking the meds at 6am while the "Dawn Effect" is still present. Do anyone exercise in the mornings before taking their meds

New Data: Finasteride Safely Prevents Prostate Cancer'These Results Are Transformational,' Says Researcher May 20, 2018
But: "Who uses it today? Almost nobody." "We have answered the questions and closed the book." As reported in 2003, the risk for prostate cancer over the initial 7-year study period was 25% lower with finasteride than with placebo. That risk reduction now "goes out to 16 years, at least," (unlike ADT

Hello!
Hi everyone, I’m a T1D and was diagnosed at age 26yrs. I was originally misdiagnosed as T2D by my GP and started on metformin. Although it worked for a while, I became progressively sicker and was later referred into the hospital for support. Like many people, I manage my diabetes with a combination

Anyone tried Berberine?
I think this is the wrong place to post, but not sure where to as it's both related to PCOS, T1D, Insulin resistance and Infertility, some of which are related/conditioned by Hashi.. So, basically was researching recently and discovered that Berberine may have very positive effects (in some studies

What do you think about: “Metformin Use Linked to Increased Dementia, Parkinson's Risk in Patients With Diabetes” https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/877965. With NMN, niacin or NR I feel a slight tingling sensation inside my head which I take as my brain being energized, but metformin causes me to

Metformin and Parkinson's my experience
With Metformin I experienced Brain Fog, I haven't had brain fog since I started taking KSM-66 (Ashwagadha). Therefore in my mind, Metformin increases the risk of Dementia as the study "Metformin Use Linked to Increased Dementia, Parkinson's Risk in Patients With Diabetes" declared and is valid.....

Metformin
Hi everyone, I have used this forum several times. My question this time is, how long do I leave taking metformin after taking thyroxine? I have lost a 7 year battle with weight gain and now have to take metformin for diabetes 2. I am upset as I feel as if I had a gp who had knowledge about thyroid

If Metformin can reverse aging it makes sense that it could reverse PD, but studies have shown increased risk. Puzzled

Longevity: NMN (NAD+), Resveratrol, Fisetin, Quercetin, Metformin, etc.
Dr. David Sinclair's stack. He is in search of longevity, but almost all is good for PD too. https://fastlifehacks.com/david-sinclair-supplements/#resveratrol-where-to-buy

Advice re inconsistent and above range FT4 please.
Apologies in advance for long post. GP made me have annual review blood test 21/12/21. Test was done at 8.20am, 24 hours after last dose of levo (150 mcg) and fasting apart from water. Please note, my TSH always appears suppressed because I take Metformin. TSH 0.01mu/L (0.35 - 4.94)

Looking for some advice on blood results which don’t correlate with symptoms please?
Hi there, I’ve posted several times and had excellent support but don’t seem to be getting anywhere with my health. I have attached my latest results which do not seem to correlate with my symptoms. The last set of bloods were last August. My GP wrote to endocrinology and were advised to try Metformin

Metformin changes
Good morning people My hubby has been diabetic for over 10 years. He was put on Metformin, but had trouble initially with diarrhoea and bleeding from his back passage. He was advised that it was to do with the bulking agents used to make the meds and after a few months of trying different brands he found
