I was rewarded by feeling more energy and also being able to reduce my Sinemet 25/100 by one. Last week I walked to my mailbox and upon removing the mail, decided to walk a bit around the neighborhood. My little walk turned into a mile, and a brisk one at that.

Earlier this week, my husband was doing really well overall (he's on sinemet, Neupro and amantadine, btw). Then 3 days ago, his condition deteriorated terrifyingly quickly. He can no longer get in/out of bed or chairs, walk unassisted, or dress himself. Not interested in food.

Just started Sinemet 2 days ago and it is doing nothing. I twitch about 20 out of 24 hours. I have been getting , at most, 2 hours of sleep with occasional 5-10 minute dozes. I don't know what to do!

Does anyone get dystonia rather than dyskinesia with too much Sinemet

My doctor elevate my sinemet from 2 to 3 , 10-100 mg every 3 hours and pharmacy said that was high. What say ye?

Nursing home requested muscle relaxant due to rigidity and GP said no as it would interact with his medication (sinemet - which, after instruction from neuro consultant should already be reducing as it has no effect).

I keep reading that Sinemet is only for movement. Then hoe come I can no longer eat or drink before taking it in morning anymore. I feel like it has affected my digestion taking it for over 4 years.

I still take 10 regular sinemet, but have dropped the patch and 4 extended release sinemets. Best of all, my outlook on life has gone from that of a recluse to venturing out into the world again. Has it been easy? No. Has it been hard? At times.

when my husband was first diagnosed in 2012 he was started in Sinemet he did not have any side effects that I remember, about 3 years later he was changed to Stalevo as it acted longer. In the past 2 weeks or so he changed back to Sinemet because the Stalevo has gotten so expensive.

hi,im using sinemet and mirapex (Pramipexole) for 5 years -im suffering from slow movment and tremors -i also suffer from sinemet induced dyskinesia -i heard about amantadine and its great for tremor and sinemet induced dyskinesia but im out of my country and cant see my doctor-i have 2 questions and

Is anyone taking sinemet and ropinirole together? And is it alleviating tremors. I have tremors on my right arm and these meds are not doing anything to relieve it.

I have cut my meds back from using the patch, plus 3 extended release Sinemet, plus 12 regular Sinemet each day to 9 or 10 regular Sinemet. The "on" time has increased, plus my energy is up, so I find myself being more productive.
