I'm not sure that is a high dose. How long have you been diagnosed?

I take 5x25/100, and 5x25/100 CR, 1mg Rasagaline, per day. I have been diagnosed 12yrs 3months,

Not qualified to comment on amount, BUT the leaflet with my Sinemet CR says they should not be taken at intervals of less than four hours.

2,000mg/day

I take 25-100 (Madopar) along with100mg of Comtan 2 or 3 or 4 times per day, usually another 100mg time-released at bedtime It seems like when I take the drugs it take, 45 minutes-1hour to get some relief which then lasts from 90 minuets - 135 minutes. So, if I wanted to be "On" all the time I would have to take them every 2 hours.

I have no Doctor so I've done a lot of internet researching, and it makes my head spin. Some Doctors say take as little as possible, others say 2000 mg/day is OK. Still others say it's very dangerous to modify your dosage frequently - in fact it can be very dangerous to even get of your schedule by an hour or so. It's all so very confusing.

You would think that a drug which has been given to millions of people for 60 years would be better understood!

I modify my dosage and change the times I take them daily according to how much sleep I get, what I have to do that particular day and how much dyskinesia I have. The only PD med I take is 10/100 carbidopa/levodopa.

Hi moonsake I had PD for 12 years now. I do not think you are at your max yet I take carbo/levodopa 25/100 2tab q 3 hr 7x a day. that dos not hold me , only for about 1 hr. the rest I was very tight and very uncomfortable. My Nero added Endocapone , that helps. My off times are not is painful .

Hi moonsake you count the mg in Levodopa which is the drug making you feel better carbidopa is enhancer . So the levodopa is 100 mg you calculate depends haw many u take. That can be up to 2000 mg.
