Hi, my PD issue is mostly stiffness on my right side and shifted jaw (hard to eat) only tremor when facing some nerveousness.

Thingking if there is a better alternative than taking sinemet that less side effect.Any advices? Marty hintz amino acid protocol, mucuna + tyrosine + 5htp or mucuna+ green tea + quecertin?

Thanks

Have you tried Sinemet and experienced side effects or just concerned about the possible issues?

Marty Hinz's Sinemet objections can be overcome by taking vitamin B6 two hours separate from your Sinemet dose.

Also, controlled-release version of Sinemet is better than the immediate release version for most people.

I beg to differ Park Bear. I listened to an interview recently with Marty Hinz, where this very point came up.

Hinz explained that Carbidopa irreversibly destroyed the b6 system. The interviewer asked the obvious question. Should we then take b6 supplements to combat this. His answer was an emphatic NO. He gave the reason, but I cannot remember it.

I am on the Hinz treatment, which includes b6, for other reasons, and it seems to work.

It is the carbidopa that seems to be the problem. Replace it with 5HTP and we’re half way there.

I enjoy your posts, keep up the good work.

Carbidopa will irreversibly bind to vitamin B6. So if you do not do anything about it, over time it will destroy the vitamin B6 system. On the other hand if you take carbidopa and B6 the same time, they will bind with each other in the GI tract, thus inactivating both. However, if you take them at different times, the B6 will get into circulation where it is needed. The carbidopa will get mostly used up in the GI tract, where it is needed. The leftover carbidopa that gets into circulation will bind to vitamin B6, but that is okay as long as you take enough vitamin B6.Marty Hinz has done us a service by pointing out the vitamin B6 problem. He is understandably attached to his solution. However his way is not the only way.

Most practitioners will treat you via Skype, so your location doesn’t matter. Google should find some. My doctor is here ....

Shop around, it is expensive.

Thanks. Is $5k in one payment or monthly installment? Are you cured from parkinson now?

Harleybob08 profile image
Harleybob08 in reply toMosieta

The $5k is a one-off payment to cover the doctor’s time.

I still have mild symptoms, but am much improved since doing the protocol. The Parkinsons has stabilised and isn’t progressing after 2years. There is also the reassurance that I am not damaging my body with chemicals.

So this is not a “cure” as such. It is a good foundation which diet and exercise can be added to further improve my life over time, rather than the “inevitable “ downward spiral my neurologist was promising me.

Dr. Ron is a genuine guy who’s trying to help, we have become friends.

Best Wishes,

Peter

Thanks. I did try the MP(100mg)+tyrosine (1000Mg)+5htp (50mg) two times daily based on John gray (marsvenus youotube video) but I guess the composition was not right. I have GI issue and didn't seem helping my rigidity body twisting issue. My be Dr. Ron can help me finf correct composition.

Do you really think the doctor is necessary to figure out the correct usage of the supplements?

Harleybob08 profile image
Harleybob08 in reply tojaners

I tried for months to do it myself from the protocol before I found a doc; without any success. With the experience I now have, I could probably go it alone.

I had the money, and was well motivated, to me it was a no-brainier. Each of us has to decide for ourselves, I want as good a life as I can, which is why I spend hours juicing vegetables, exercising, and dosing Amino Acids.

There are folks out there going it alone with a good result. Horses for courses.

God Bless

Peter, how he find out the right dosage? any test included on 5K annual fee?

Harleybob08 profile image
Harleybob08 in reply toMosieta

It took a year or so of trial and error. The $5K is a one-off payment. I’m in Scotland, so no tests were available.

The protocol is here....

It is only my opinion and not necessarily anybody else's, but I would rather spend my time and energy doing something that will help me get better, rather than spend a lot of money and effort taking pills that do absolutely nothing to slow down the progression of your Pd? Read my profile and see for yourself.

That's good but they do not do as much to help slow down or even reverse your symptoms. Think about doing something more exhausting like Fast walking? You don't have to start with anything more than you are already capable of doing, then slowly build it up over the course of several months to the time when you are able to do it for one hour, three time a week. That is three hours a week of exercise that will help you reverse many of your symptoms.

have your doctor do a G6PD blood test to make sure you can eat them. Sometimes they can be found in cans from Progresso if they cannit be obtained in the marketplace fresh. The pods have the most ldopa that can be juiced if grown organically. If you can obtain seeds....the sprouts are high in natural ldopa also. God bless you.
