If you need to spend a night in the hospital have a go bag ready with several doses of your meds like sinemet, that are taken more often than am noon pm. most hospitals have a nursing rotation that does not coincide with med times as often as pwp need them. hospitals also typicallly have you surrender

It seems that he's always hot and I'm wondering if it's another side effect of cbd, or maybe it's from the sinemet?

We have some Kinson tablets which can be cut up . The madopar 62.5 are too strong. What would happen if hubby took madopar capsule less frequently with a tiny piece of Kinson in between? We also have NOW MP and mucuna bean powder but I don’t know how much of those is equivalent to half a madopar 62.5

Initially I had some relief when I took a dose of Sinemet. Neurologist suggested increasing dose (low) to 4x daily. After 3 weeks symptoms seem worse. Haven’t actually seen neurologist he made these suggestions after talking to my psychiatrist. All communication with them has been by phone.

Once diagnosed I was offered a choice of sinemet or pramipexole. At the time I was stunned and confused at what to do. I hadn’t processed anything yet. I chose pramipexole cause I got the impression it was lesser of the two evils so to speak. Now that I have joined this site I feel better informed.

I take sinemet three times a day and after my noon dose I get relief from these symptoms for up to four hours. The same with my 5 o’clock dose. I’m often watching the clock as the minutes inch by until I can take that next dose.

But the prescribing regime by our local NHS (UK) nurse practitioner specialising in PD says one Sinemet 25/100 to be taken 3x daily. I'm told that that is what every PD patient gets and there is no option to increase the dose.

Are there no other medications to try or even an increase of the Sinemet? I just worry that if he is taken off the medication we will just be forgotten about. As it is he’s never met either the consultant or the Parkinson’s nurse.

Well I have succeeded in stopping both the Ropinerole slow release and the Sinemet Plus ! I am now on 600mg of Pregabalin and I don’t think it’s helping much at all and just a quick note thanks to reading some of the posts here I also stopped the Fluoxetine and it had a dramatic impact.
