What works better for you.... Pro-Air or Ventolin?
I just doing my research on Albuterol inhaler. For me, I notice that Pro-air works better for me for quick relief. Please share your experience on your situation. If there any other inhaler that works better, please let me know.

Rescue before controller???
I went to my doctor who said that (while changing medications) he couldn't give me a dose of symbicort because he gave me a dose of albuterol. Is this true, or, is he just overly cautious?

Unexplained breathlessness
I am on seretide 250 mg x 4 a day , tried montelukast, Spiriva, nothing seems to help
Salbutamol
doesn't help either. Never smoked .Had various lung functions tests, laryngoscopy to check for hyperventilation, echocardiogram and pulmonary CT a while ago , they weren't too bad.

Hyperthyroidism and Asthma
I have taken
salbutamol
three times already, and although it is easing, I do not feel like it has entirely gone away. Is there an actual connection between asthma and hyperthyroidism that anyone with asthma has experienced?

Discharged from hospital after 2.5 weeks 3 days in Intensive care.
I was given 4
salbutamol
nebulisers ,then a different nebulised drug to no avail. Was given injection of hydrocortisone no change, then started on Magnesium Infusion causing heart to race. I basically was exhausted I could not hold my head up,I could hear distant voices but had collapsed.

Intro & 2-Year Journey
Hi everyone. I am a new in this community group. Just want to say "Hi" and share a little experience about how important to stay up-to-date about your condition and knowledge before heading to doctor office. This can make sure that you ask the right question and hit the target. I was having nasal allergy

Feeling better - but puzzled!
I started treatment for asthma about 4-5 weeks ago with clenil and
salbutamol
, following a very bad chest infection that just didn't clear up (or rather triggered massive amounts of inflammation which seemed to develop into a pattern of asthma, and clenil and
salbutamol
have improved my peak flow).

Asthma and GORD (GERD)
I have been sticking with my 3 x 200 mg Clenil Modulate and
Salbutamol
as needed. I noticed that after
Salbutamol
my GORD got a lot worse. After a search I found that
Salbutamol
relaxes the airway as it is supposed to, BUT it also relaxes the sphincter muscle that stops acid reflux.

Obsessing over breathing
I'm breathing treated for my bronchitis. I've had inflammation for the past 4 months and I just started a steroid yesterday. Also taking flovent and albuterol for my asthma. My nose has been really dry and it gets me anxious cause makes me feel like I can't breathe right then my heart rate goes up!

Asthma fine during exercise but rubbish afterwards?
In the past I couldn't even leave the house in cold weather, but now I take my
salbutamol
10-20 minutes before I run and I'm fine... until I stop running.
