Rituximab

Reason I ask is that I'm 64 next week, have had RA since 1983 and am currently on Rituximab ( although it's early days). I've been really struggling over the past 6 months and finally the consultant agreed to a course of oral pred.

On ibrutinib for 2-1/2 yrs with good response managing CLL. Depleted immune status continues after FCR 6 yrs ago. Had pneumonia for 10 mos and continue to have debilitating episodes of extreme fatigue, chills and sweats that are only addressed with heavy duty moxyfloxacin. Welcome any thoughts

There is no doubt to me that Venetoclax is a very exciting development for us in CLL. And yet we don't seem to talk about it quite as much on here as Ibrutinib and FCR. Venetoclax has been approved by the Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) for treating adults with CLL,who have already tried at least one treatment, in combination with another cancer medicine called rituximab. This is in line with the NICE decision for NHS England.

Rituximab and Venetoclax 3. Rituximab alone I narrowed it to option 1 or 2. Specialist said all these drugs show great promise, but could not say which is best, partly this is understandable as they are still learning, but it does not help me.

I know after my Rituximab infusion (which was 5.5 hours) I was wiped out with a headache for a few days. But i'm not sure if Tocilizumab will feel the same, as it is a shorter infusion I'm told with less side affects.

Hi folks. I know this will have been asked a thousand times however. I am 6 years since FCR treatment and to date still doing well not near further treatment ( fingers crossed) my daughter lives in South Africa I’m in Scotland and looking to visit her next year. Does anyone have advice on travel insurance

I get rituximab and take sulphasaline and hydroxycholoquine. x

I was diagnosed with CLL in 2000... Did the usual watchful waiting till 2009, then had FCR for 6 months. Went into total remission till 2016... Had AIHA in September of 2018, treated in hospital with 4 transfusions ,and prednisone. My cll is back & I started imbruvica 3 days ago. I'm feeling much stronger

He recommended her to begin with combination of Rituximab + Fludarabine (in-patient treatment, via injections). I just wanted to know if anyone else has received this treatment before and how was your experience with it? Did you experience any side effects and did the treatment work well for you?

Well, it's the evening before I start FCR and a friend has sent me cut flowers. There is conflicting info on line, some sights say no flowers or plants in the house at all and others say just not in the bedroom. Any thoughts?
