Treating Low Stomach Acid
I have been suffering from chronic GERD (indigestion/ stomach acid) for ages. So my GP gave a script for a giant bottle of Gaviscon (the type that contains potassium hydrogen carbonate) I took a dose and -oh my goodness - I had the worse acid attack I've had in years. I stupidly thought I hadn't taken

More on Magnesium
My AF seems less frequent in the summer. Maybe it is because I get more sun exposure and thus more vitamin D. The comment on tea could be of interest to tea drinkers. I found this information on the website below. Hopefully, this info has not already been posted. http://drmyhill.co.uk/wiki/Magnesium

Going through customs with vitamins and HC pills
Hello. I am flying to Italy in a few days' time. I am about to pack my week's supply of thyroxine, hydrocortisone, Nutri Adrenals, Betaine, and vitamins A to K2. I have decanted them into little plastic bags for convenience. It struck me that it might look as if I was carrying illegal drugs. Has anyone

When to take Betaine HCL supplements?
Hi there! I'm a little confused on the usage of Betaine HCL. I am aware that it is mainly used to digest protein rich foods like meat. However what about bread, dairy, eggs and so on? Looking at the packaging of a lot of things I've been unaware so many things contain protein and some even rival meat

Help please with chronic digestion issues.
Hi all, it is worrying reading all the posts on here on how difficult it is to get help when you are feeling rubbish. I am really struggling to get my good health back and wonder if anyone here has any suggestions. I have had an underactive thyroid diagnosed when I was 11, some 47 years ago and was successfully

Is Pepcid the right med to take?
My doctor has prescribed Pepcid for my tummy problems. My book 'Could It Be B12' says this is an H2 blocker that interferes with B12 absorption. Is this really the right medicine for me to take? I'm my doctor's first PA patient ever, I don't want to be his guinea pig experiment. I've seen some articles

I have Hashimotos with MTFR gene. Felt full too long after eating salmon so next day tried HCl with pepcin 650mg when I had chicken. Did not feel different so took a second one after meal. Had gas, heart burn so I know I should only take one. On waking this morning I have hives, brain fog

Does lack of digestive enzymes in saliva and stomach go with Sjogrens ? Lost a lot of weight, no appetite, food hard to digest.
I use bioten for gluggy mouth, eye drops and ointments but now need to add pills before and during every meal just to digest anything even a small bowl of porridge. I'm assuming this is normal with Sjogrens is it? Taking amylase pepsin and betaine enzymes which help with the pain and bloating. Suggestions
