Sudden crash back into fatigue.
After seeing my Endo last week, my T3 was kept the same (5mcg twice a day) and my t4 was put back up to 75. Usually it takes weeks before any difference shows doesn’t it? It wouldn’t be any difference in this case? The day after I started back on the higher dose I felt exhausted, insomnia and poor sleep

Anyone had a symptom dip after upping levo or changing tablet size?
After my elated post which I was finally upped to 75mg and all the pain I had vanished and energy & brain fog improved, I have taken a dip. Just wondering if anyone had experienced this? Upped 75mcg from 50mcg end of March and had been feeling brilliant until 25th May. What's interesting is this

Giving levo another go...
Hi thyroid community, I have been diagnosed with 'sub clinical' hypothyroidism (due to autoimmune condition) in the last few years and my life has been shit ever since as I'm sure many can relate. I didn't get on very well with levothyroxine during my first trial, but I decided to persist giving it

Surprised about bloods this morning
My GP has run thyroid tests along with ones for cardio this morning. I wish the ranges were the same, hard to wrap my brain around change! Tsh is 1.56 (0.32 - 4.94) T4 is 17.4 (9 - 19) 84% In April T4 was 78% before changing levo from 50-75. I am very relieved the T4 change was minimal as I

urgent help with T3 problem
I started taking T3 13 weeks ago from a private endo. I increased it gradually and am currently on 10mcg twice per day and lowered my levo from 175mg to 150mg. My problem is I actually feel worse than I did before! My last blood test showed that my T3 levels had gone up but could be better but I feel

block and replace update
Wanted to give an update on coming off block and replace medication for Graves’ disease to help anyone else who might be facing the same predicament. Stopped taking carbimazole and levothyroxine 14 days ago after 2 years of treatment, terrified by the thought of it but my specialist said to just stop

I always have the same brand of Levo and have been fine for a while (accord orange label) but today I have been given another brand called hill test but the pharmacist says it is the same brand as it say MA Holder Accord on the side of the box. Could anyone clarify if this is new packaging please or

help with brands
Hi Am new to the forum. Was diagnosed in February with hypothyroidism level TSH 12. Started on Levo 50 mg and it has come down to 5.1 and recently 4.7. GP has now put me up to 75 mg but collected today and they have given me totally different brands. Was taking mercury before and felt ok (ish) now

Teva being issued in Hillcross boxes!
Has anyone noticed that Levothyroxine by Teva is being sent in boxes marketed by Hillcross. I’m really annoyed about this as I specifically said to the pharmacist that I can only tolerate Mercury Pharma brand. He said he would source them. He couldn’t, but suggested Accord. I said I’d check the PILs

Pain under right rib following increased levothyroxine dose
I started levothyroxine 3 months ago at 50mg following a slightly high TSH count resulting in an ultrasound which found a benign thyroid nodule. My TSH was good for the first following up, but raised above the threshold in my last blood test. My last test also showed high cholesterol. So, I had my levo

Problem with GP
I am at the end of my rope. My GP has put me down to 25mcg of levothyroxine every other day due to a constantly suppressed TSH. I am very unwell and due to have cataract surgery on the 14th. I am still taking 25mcg every day as I had extra tablets. The GP has said my results are normal (already posted

Why does Levothyroxine cause weight gain if it treats hypothyroidism, weight gain being a hypo symptom?
Shouldn't it help rectify hypo symptoms not make them worse? This baffles me! I wish I could revert back to Levothyroxine and use it together with T3 as NDT is extortionately priced, and not working brilliantly for me anymore, however, weight gain is my biggest fear, and I read so much about this on

Consultant referral and other stuff
Recently had my regular 3 month TSH test and it seems that im still just within the range. Yet again, seen another different doctor at the surgery as i can never get to see the same one. This doctor, even though ive been on 75mcg Levo for 6 months with my symptoms holding strong or becoming worse, told

hi everyone I don't know how much people are able to help me without test results but its worth a shot anyway. I've been taking cynoplus for a few years and have always felt well. So well I'm now on nybsecond pregnancy. I'm with a consultant but haven't mentioned in taking cynoplus as I'm worried they

This is an update to all the kind folks who were so concerned for me trying to stop medication. Just letting you know I made it six weeks without levo but my tsh shot up to 9.1 in a range of 0.36 to 3.74. Needless to say I am back on meds starting over with 25 and moving to 37.5 in another day. My 3

Should I be worried about suppressed TSH
I am extremely well and all my bloods seem within normal range to me (but not the GP)! I am 61 years old and was diagnosed with Hashimotos Thyroditis and Chronic Fatigue in 2004. My only health issue is very erratic sleep (one night 8 and a half hours, the next 4) which I handle by resting in the afternoon

Possible to be both Hyperthyroid & Hypothyroid?
Hi guys, So have just been to my GP and as advised on my last post I requested to increase my Levothyroxine by 12.5mg to see if I'd feel any better. My GP said that as my TSH is 1.44 I'm in the sweet spot and an increase isn't required. She then went on to inform my that I had been Hyperthyroid initially
