Hyper or Hypo?!
Good morning, I am not going to rewrite my entire story as it’s in my bio, but basically I was diagnosed as hyperthyroid approx six weeks ago and commenced on 20mg Carbimazole daily. I tested positive for TPO’s but neg for TRAB. I was symptomatic of hyperthyroidism. I have just had my bloods redone

Poor GP response for years!
Hello. First time poster here Long story short I have been taking Levothyroxine for around 8 years and within this time I have had a constant battle with my GP to manage my symptoms. Unfortunately I have found that it does depend on which GP you get as to whether they will increase Levothyroxine.

tsh ‘suppressed’ but I want to stay on 125mcg levo. Thoughts?
Morning all! Just had results back from gp thyroid panel (so only tsh and t4). 23rd April Tsh: 0.2 (range 0.27-4.2) T4: 15.9 (10.5-24.5) I’d asked for an increase in levo from 100-125mcg and had been taking the increased dose for around 10 weeks when I had this test. Here are my previous results

tsh too low on levo dose
Hi, I was trialling an increase of levo from 125 to 150. My tsh dropped from 1.6 to 0.09 ( range 0.27-0.42) and gp put me back down to 125. My t4 went from 22.5 just above normal range ( 12-22) to 25.5. Gp didn’t test t3 this time ( or the results aren’t back for it ) but my previous t3 was 3.6 when

Help with latest Blood Test
Hello, I’m hoping someone can give some advice on latest blood test please. I am on 100mgs Levothyroxine. I did trial T3 but didn’t notice much difference by taking T3really. Im not sure if this is because I wasn’t on a high enough dose of L4 at the start of trialing it. I have taken the D1o2 test

How to change from T3 only to T4?
I'm currently self medicating on 50mcg Tiromel and have been for a few years. My doctor prescribed me 75 mcg Eutirox 5 x week and 88 on the weekends. It just wasn't working for me, so after a lot of reading I assumed I was just someone with a faulty conversion gene and decided to try alternatives.

metavive
could anyone be kind enlightened to tell me if you can take metavive 2 and Levothyroxine at the same time - my GP has recently reduced my Levo to 25 mcgs - I can’t explain the head heat , dizziness and sometimes even what I call “ jelly legs “ which I have never experienced before Thank you

To split or not to split?
I have decided to start self medicating again and used the company I first used to buy some thyroxine. They have changed brands and now only supply Eltroxin in 100 mcg tablets. Tbh I didn't even think about that so ordered some thinking I could just split them as I felt 50 was a better starting point

Headache solved?
As my symptoms started returning, I upped my levo every 3rd day from 50mcg to 75mcg. Headaches started and only went if I upped my T3 from 5mcg to 7.5 mcg (Levo 7am, T3 8am) I take 2 further 5mcg T3 in the day. I sometimes take my second T3 dose as a 7.5mcg dose if I'm really slowing down, grinding to

Time swap
I’ve done this once but I can’t remember how I did it. Could someone please prompt? I want to return to taking my levo at night. How do I go about it please? Apologies for being so dull witted.

gluten free
I kept reading about gluten free diets helping people on levothyroxine but never stuck to it properly for more than a few days, until now. I have been, to my knowledge, entirely gluten free for 2 full weeks and I just wanted to come here and say that I feel much better ! I have been going to the toilet

Accidentally took 50mcg instead of 100mcg levothyroxine for a month!
Hi everyone, I have been taking 50mcg of levothyroxine a day instead of 100mcg which is my correct dose (I also take 10mcg T3). The packets were identical and I have been taking the 50mcg all month and only realised when I put the empty packet into the bin (I had a mixture of 100mcg, 50mcg and 25mcg

Headache with increase…any tips to overcome this?
Hello all, hope you’re all doing well? I started the increase of Levo from 50 to75mcgs on 18th April. I have been sensitive to increases in the past so not surprised I think I am having another side effect or hypo symptom. For past 3 nights I have been woken up with a pretty awful headache. It tends

Thyroid Functions
Hello,I have been investigating the above recently via this forum and elsewhere. It concerns me that I take two medications that have an effect on Levothyroxine. Omeprazole 20mg daily, taken before bed and Propranolol 30mg taken twice daily usually before breakfast and before bed. Levothyroxine, 200mcg

Just having a bad day
April hasn't been a good month for me and synotoms. Been on only 50mcg levo since end of September. Only JUST this week got an increase to 75 thanks to the private bloods I did due to recommendations on this site. First I caught a sinus cold at the start of Easter break, which triggered a flare up

combined therapy help
Hi a little advise if possible: normally levo 125mg and thybon 5mg. A new endo has taken me off thybon to try and work out if I have diabetes inspidius (water balance issues). I think I was slightly too hyper but 3 weeks later and I feel terrible - weight gain, constipation, no apetite. I don’t think

Help with test results
So I decided to check my blood before starting a trail of 50mcg of Levothyroxine. I tested at 6.20 am compared to my usual later time of 10am. I’m confused because the morning before I ended up in A&E from taking too many pain killers and they tested my blood around the same time. My results are greatly
