Headache solved?

As my symptoms started returning, I upped my levo every 3rd day from 50mcg to 75mcg. Headaches started and only went if I upped my T3 from 5mcg to 7.5 mcg (Levo 7am, T3 8am) I take 2 further 5mcg T3 in the day. I sometimes take my second T3 dose as a 7.5mcg dose if I'm really slowing down, grinding to a halt. I have tried Levo at night but morning seems better. The last results I posted suggested tweaking the Levo up but I'm wondering if more T3 is the way for me? I'm close to the top of my range but am not jittery or losing weight. Any thoughts?

Your last results showed

TSH 0.02 (0.27-4.2)

T3. 6. (3.1-6.8)

Free T4 16.8 (12-22)

I would try to increase Levo first to75mcg day, as yourFT3 is close to the top. What brand are you prescribed?

Thanks Buddy. I suppose because I feel nauseous, woozy & headachey when I increase the Levo (accord) & felt the same with teva and I get almost instant relief with the T3 that's the 'fix' I reach for. However, I am concerned about my numbers and where I am in the ranges. Everything was starting to improve and I get so down when I feel that cloud of lethargy creeping back as well as the dry skin, constipation etc. Sometimes I feel so close to getting this right but my bloods don't seem to conform to a recognised pattern. I'm speaking to my endo next week so will be interesting to see her take on it all. Really appreciate your input.

Ranges are only a rough guide, not a brick wall that you mustn't go past. Some of us just need our FT3 higher than the top of the range and that's all there is too it. You can't go against how you feel, and that's more important than the numbers.

Thank you GG. It' s good to get experienced perspectives on this and I was always an outside of the box person! Having been stuck in the slow lane for so long it does feel good to be shifting out of first gear.
