Risedronate (Actonel),raloxifene (Evista) or teriparatide (Forsteo)? Which do I choose? Experiences?
My preference is Forsteo (if my specialist will prescribe it - health care system is not public like NHS so options are often available), or Evista/
raloxifene

Have you used Evista (raloxifene)?
I recently started Evista (
raloxifene
) and wondered how risky it was for me since my'mother died from a stroke. My blood pressure isn't too elevated but I've had high cholesterol for awhile but don't want to use a statin.

Anyone here taking Raloxifene?
I've found in on the NIH site info re:
Raloxifene
. Originally doled out to those who would suffer osteoporosis, studies have placed Tamoxifen and
Raloxifene
side by side. Results?

Levothyroxine and Raloxofene ( Evista) - does Evista prevent Levo being used properly?
Just read some research that taking
Raloxifene
with Levo is a no no - ( drug interaction renders Levo useless as it can't be absorbed in presence of
Raloxifene
) .

LEVOTHYROXINE INTERACTIONS - useful list
Raloxifene
(EVISTA), used to treat osteoporosis, may reduce the absorption of levothyroxine, although the evidence to date is not sufficient to establish the extent of the interaction. In one case, separating the two drugs by 12 hours appeared to avert the interaction.

What are the groups views on the latest research regarding preventative treatments with tamoxifen and raloxifene?
The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence says tamoxifen or
raloxifene
taken daily by high risk women for five years can cut breast cancer risk by 40%. May provide a treatment option besides mastectomy for women found to be genetically high risk.
