I have switched from Qvar to Fostair. Do I have to experience side effects even though I have used other inhalers in the past?

Miracle has happened - Stopping gluten cleared asthma
Changed to
QVAR
100 AM & PM. Now on
QVAR
100 AM and 50 PM. Still no asthma also no sinusitis, ear blockage which had since a child. No constant clearing of throat mucus so now considering stopping Carbocysteine .

Fostair 100/6
Hi guys, After all your stellar advice last time my
Qvar
was increased but it still did not help and I’ve now been on Fostair 1 puff twice a day. I have to say that although the steroid dose is lower than the
Qvar
it seems to be working pretty well! (Fingers crossed.)

Qvar over Fostaire any day.
I stopped taking Fostaire and asked to be put back on
Qvar
. Feeling so much better..... I’m sure Fostaire is good for some people.... but definitely not good for me.

Qvar
and ventolin, helped slightly. Steroid tablets, 5 days, still hacking up a lung and crackling, breathless.

Add on drugs that are usually prescribed by a consultant part 1 (LAMAs, add-on inhalers, theo)
ADD-ON STEROID INHALER - Alvesco/
Qvar
/Pulmicort etc I won’t go into this too much as I think I’ve already covered this in previous posts!

Mattress for dust mite-induced asthma
The HEPA tent (together with pred, singulair, seretide and
qvar
) keeps me alive for now; I could not step outside the tent into the living room for 2 weeks, w/o wearing a respirator -- until the pred and the singulair kicked in.

I had been on a
QVAR
inhaler for a few years and always carry my Ventolin, I had been using my Ventolin more and more over past weeks, up to 10 times in one day. The GP changed my preventor inhaler to a Symbicote. To be honest, I have not seen much improvement since.

Desperate and worried
Taking Symbicort, montelukast,
QVAR
, Ventolin a lot, Pred daily for 3 months already - got as low as 9mg/day and now back to 15mg. NO wheezing, no phlegm, just TIGHT CHEST and INABILITY to do basic things (wheeling trash to curb knocks me out).

Diagnosed with suspected Asthma after having Covid
They started me off on
Qvar
& Salbutamol as needed but I kept getting mouth thrush & also felt it did nothing for me so they changed me to Fostair. So far, I feel like nothing really 100% is helping me. What I genuinely can't understand is it seems to go in cycles.

What is it like to have your asthma properly medicated?
I must not grumble though because during this pandemic both my doctors over the telephone and my hospital in person twice have been medicating me with the maximum dosage of the: Ventolin (reliever) inhaler and 2x 50mcg, twice daily dosage of the:
Qvar
(preventer) inhaler, but since: 11th March 2021 my

Fostair and tremors
I found that when I went back to my previous treatment of Serevent and
Qvar
the tremors went away, but I am told there are no combination inhalers that have a different long acting beta agonist, is this true?

Severe asthma treatment
I’m on fostair 2 x 3times a day,
qvar
800, xolair & fexodenadine, montelukast, carbocisteine. Last time I was tested I wasn’t eligible for the other mabs. I’m having repeated flares of my asthma & eczema . I respond to pred. Intermittently wheezes (not always), tight chested & cough.

Flixotide 250
I recently had a flare up (not sure of the trigger) and was told to up my
Qvar
100 inhaler to 3 puffs morning and night, instead of 2 (about 5 weeks ago) and put on prednisone for 5 days (about 2 weeks ago).

Asthma getting worse
I am now on 3 puffs of
Qvar
morning and night and currently taking prednisone for 5 days to try and control is but, on day 3, I feel like they are having no effect! I’m getting worried nothing is working! I’ve tried different inhalers previously; including a long acting inhaler.

Flutiform query as I am having problems
I am very sorry that this post is so long but I just don't feel right on Flutiform as I feel these symptoms do seem to have come about since changing from
Qvar
and I am worried. I could be wrong of course but I would like to go back to
Qvar
or similar.
